When you are weary, remember that the One who called you is faithful and will complete the good work. He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). In September and October 2026, our students in the School of Law won major moot court competitions: the Unwanted Witness East African Privacy Moot Court Competition for two years in a row, defeating the University of Dar es Salaam in the regional final. The team won awards for the best memorial and best respondent’s written memorial, a US$1,500 cash prize, and a fully funded trip to the 2026 Africa Privacy Symposium in Accra, Ghana. Our students also won the National Inter-University Access to Justice, Discrimination and Equal Opportunities Moot Court Competition, which attracted 12 accredited universities. Other law moot competitions UCU won include the 2026 International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation in Kampala (ICAMEK) National Arbitration Moot Competition; International Humanitarian Law National Moot; Intellectual Property Moot Competition; and the 18th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights International Moot Competition.
