Although Omicron can evade antibodies it seems it barely evades T-cells. This effectively means that vaccinated or people who have had COVID previously retain good protection against severe disease

in some ways this latest COVID wave feels the most depressing, as it's genuinely hard to tell what we're even reaching for anymore. everything feels simultaneously accessible and irresponsible, and you don't feel 100% good about any choice

I have a whole new appreciation for how horrendous it must be for my parents every time one of us is poorly, especially when we were kids… Darcy has another hospital appt today & I already feel sick at the thought that they’ll probably want to test her blood again 😭
