My Mom, who has worked in education for over 20 years has recently been faced with an impossible situation. The Florida Board of Education has completely slashed her funding to all things library related. Meaning everything from buying Books to library software is now coming out of her pocket. Her school is 1200 students strong. and without the funding from the state, things like Book clubs, Maker Spaces, Author visits, and Kindergarten Read-alouds all have to be cut. I never ask for handouts- anyone who knows me well knows this. But id like to help in any way i can to support my mother and her students, including using my platform to spread the word.
