My Mom, who has worked in education for over 20 years has recently been faced with an impossible situation.
The Florida Board of Education has completely slashed her funding to all things library related. Meaning everything from buying Books to library software is now coming out of her pocket.
Her school is 1200 students strong. and without the funding from the state, things like Book clubs, Maker Spaces, Author visits, and Kindergarten Read-alouds all have to be cut.
I never ask for handouts- anyone who knows me well knows this. But id like to help in any way i can to support my mother and her students, including using my platform to spread the word.
If you are in the mood to donate, or know someone who is- here is the link. myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdem…
You are in no way obligated to donate, although i appreciate every single person who does! engaging with this post also helps to spread the word.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read or donate, every little bit helps.
and hopefully this kind of pressure on the Florida education system will help move them in the right direction towards supporting our libraries!
Love you mom <3

People forget Tubbo was a teenager when these types of people flooded his chat regularly. I honestly believe he has every right to be frustrated at this kind of stuff because he's right even if its harsh.
Twitch Streamers aren't your therapist.

Oh my God! Was working just found out about RJ
I am heartbroken
Though RJ didn’t play my TV son, I always looked out for him as a young kid on set. He was a sweetheart of a young man and will be greatly missed. This is so heartbreaking, I can’t believe it. Thinking of him and his family.
💔💔💔💔💔💔

Linux does not do this.
It takes just 15 minutes to escape.
Your PC might soon ask how old you are before you can use it.
California, Colorado, and Illinois have passed laws requiring operating systems like Windows and macOS to collect users’ ages.
California’s law starts in 2027. For now, simply declaring your age is enough, but companies could eventually use facial scans, government IDs or other verification methods to prevent minors from simply lying.
The really important part is that these laws could have effects far beyond the states that passed them. Apple, Google and Microsoft may decide it’s easier to build one age-verification system for everyone rather than completely different systems for each state

Looks like a wrong triangle winding order. So one tri of each face is facing the opposite way, and it's being backface culled.
Literally a 1 line fix.
Thing is, vibe coders won't know a word of what I just said. There is value in knowing how to build the thing being built, even if you aren't writing the code. That way you can tell the agent exactly what you want and what to fix.
I think for that reason there will always be an advantage to those who *could* do it themselves, but use AI as a productivity multiplier. At least for the foreseeable future.
Fine to vibe code while you're learning, but you still need to learn. You have to build skills/knowledge in the domain that you're trying to make something in. Otherwise you're going to be left behind, ngmi, etc.
Qwen3.8-Flash is complete slop
Ran it through my usual Minecraft prompt and this was the result
I somehow missed that the model has no vision, which obviously doesn’t help for this kind of test
I’m giving it one more chance with an FPS game now
Was pretty excited for this one because I really like Qwen3.8 Max and Qwen3.8 27B
Not liking Flash so far
Researchers at SDU Soft Robotics developed a worm-inspired limbless soft robot with inflatable muscles and a flexible kirigami skin.
It can crawl, turn, rotate, and avoid obstacles using controlled body movements and sensors.
The robot could be useful for search and rescue, inspection, and exploration.

The world does not need an artificial intelligence that diminishes humanity; rather, it needs human intelligence enlightened by wisdom, political authority guided by conscience and technological innovation directed by charity. Only then will artificial intelligence become not a rival to humanity but a servant of the common good.
