It’s my pleasure to host Prof. @JWHarrisCatal, also a @PurdueChemE alumnus. Prof. Harris’s talk on producing sustainable fuels and chemicals through oxygenate catalysis is inspiring and well-attended. Thank you for sharing your fantastic research with our faculty and students!
Had a fantastic visit to @CHEatOKSTATE @OSU_CEAT this week! Thanks to all of the faculty and students for the engaging discussions, and to @checlams1 for organizing the schedule. Stillwater certainly is a friendly college town :)

You may heard about massive earthquakes in southeast Turkey. Unfortunately, the situation seems to be very severe and it impacted large area (e.g. Boston to DC). It is harsh winter in the area too. In these times, very hard to be away from homeland.

My first grad student Zeyuan Song just gave his first-ever presentation at FOCAPO/CPC 2023. We presented a data-driven finite volume discretization approach to solve a complex PDE called the Richards equation for water flow dynamics in soils. Great job, Zeyuan! – at San Antonio, TX

Chengdu Candle vigil turns into a gathering of chanting slogans again. Ppl shouted “ freedom of press, freedom of expression”. I have to say it’s amazing to hear these slogans so loudly& earnestly shouted out by Chinese ppl without fear. Unknown why gov could allow this. To watch

I currently have two PhD students from Iran. It’s heartbreaking to hear them telling stories about what they are going through. I fully support them and their families, and always stand with Iranians people in their fight for freedom and human rights. – at Wisconsin, USA

Excited to share that my latest publication (with M. Tawarmalani and R. Agrawal) in the 2022 Futures Issue of AIChE Journal. We develop the first accurate, easy-to-implement shortcut model for multicomponent distillations in any general multi-feed, multi-product (MFMP) column.

90-95% of all liquid separations is currently performed by distillation (predominance of distillation is unlikely to change at least in the near future for a number of industrial applications). The paper is available at onlinelibrary.wiley.com/shar…

I’m grateful for the financial support from @ENERGY under DE-EE0005768. I also thank Prof. David Sholl at Georgia Tech for extending the invitation for submitting at the 2022 Futures Issue. This is one of my PhD works that I’m most proud of and I’m so glad to see it published.
