Our group will attend the ECS Conference in Chicago next week, and there will be three oral talks and one poster presentation from the team members. Looking to catch up with collaborators and meet with new electrochemists!
A new paper alert! Minal Wable and I reviewed the current state of chemo-mechanical deformations in Na-ion battery electrodes, and briefly compared them with Li-ion battery ones. @UMBC

📣 Job alert! I am #hiring a postdoc associate to join my research group at @EngineeringOSU. If you’re excited about battery recycling, metal-ion battery and electrochemical tests and characterizations, Please check the online link (hr.oregonstate.edu/open-post…).
Once the first Ph.D. student and became a dear friend, @OzdogruBertan stopped at our home on his way to Michigan from Colorado 😇🤣 before starting his new job. We had a wonderful time last weekend in snowland MD.
Our group has received an NSF-DEVCOM INTERN Supplementary award. Bret will spend about 5 months at the Battery Science Branch in DEVCOM Army in 2025. This is a unique opportunity for Bret to gain experience at the Army Research Lab and will be beneficial for his career growth
It was a long and exciting day in our laboratory! We installed the ALPHA-II FT-IR and will move it inside the glove box after new year! We also installed QCM-D QSense Explorer with electrochemical module, and even we performed electrodeposition of MnO2 electrode today!
Many thanks to Hoffman Richard from Bruker and Archana Jaiswal from Nanoscience Instruments for the on-site installation and training graduate students, Debash, Minal and Bret in the group.
@UMBC_CBEE
Very excited about this new grant from DOE to work on the chemo-mechanics of electrochemical materials for environmental remediation with Xiaowei Teng at WPI! We will be looking for a prospective Ph.D. student to join our group in Fall 2025. Please RT!
