Wait, what?
The vandalism and destruction at the Capital One branch on 86th Street is deeply disturbing and unacceptable.
I have been in contact with the NYPD regarding this incident and have urged an immediate investigation, including whether this is a potential antisemitic hate crime.
There is no place for hate, intimidation or violence in New York City.
Not getting Ziwe is starting to feel less like a difference in taste and more like a character defect.

When State media starts questioning you, you're probably done.
This administration of people who are not qualified for their jobs are literally killing Americans.
Just to repeat something I said back in 2022. We are letting capitalism run amok and it's not going to end well.

Boredom is a sign of the incapacity to enter into a personal and meaningful relationship with the world, and to expect excitement to come from some outside source.

Q: How do you define socialism personally?
JD VANCE: I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreigners workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports
What are we doing?
WASHINGTON WANTS TO KNOW IF YOU'RE MARRIED AND HAVING BABIES BEFORE IT FUNDS YOUR TRAIN.
The Department of Transportation has proposed giving major transit projects a 10% grant boost in communities with above-average marriage and birth rates.
Not the communities with the greatest transportation needs.
Not necessarily the communities with the most transit-dependent workers.
The communities with the government's preferred family demographics.
The proposal could affect 40 transit projects already seeking federal funding.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy calls it an investment in growing families. Critics point to research suggesting the formula would favor wealthier, whiter communities while putting historically underfunded urban neighborhoods at a disadvantage.
Here's the trick: You don't need to mention race to write a policy with racial consequences.
Black urban communities already face unequal access to reliable transportation, affordable housing, and economic opportunity. Now Washington wants to introduce marriage and fertility statistics into decisions about who gets better transit.
A bus doesn't care whether you're married.
A train doesn't ask how many children you have.
And a working-class neighborhood doesn't become less deserving of public investment because its residents don't fit somebody's political definition of the ideal American family.
This is how demographic preferences get laundered into infrastructure policy.
Take a public service. Attach a cultural litmus test. Call the resulting inequality neutral.
The proposal isn't final, and its racial impact hasn't been established. But the question is obvious:
Since when did building a transportation system become a referendum on how Americans form families?

Um, @CaitlinClark22 and @Wemby_France get the generational hype, massive fanbases and endless headlines. But championships aren't won on marketing. @wallace_cason came out of Wemby's draft class, played real minutes in OKC's title run and already has a ring. Hype isn't hardware.
These grifters are exhausting...
Megyn Kelly has been criticizing the Cornell Jane Doe for how she responded after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by multiple men in one night.
But Kelly seems to have forgotten what it feels like to be blamed after coming forward with allegations. Her message ten years ago to survivors sounds quite different than her message today.
Now that @CBSBigBrother is over I am ditching @TaranArmstrong and going back to @PeterHamby in the mornings. Peter had some very astute points on these AI agents being thrust upon us on his show Friday that @JCMoonves ignored all season.
Project Meridian in a nutshell.
The DoD wants to build autonomous weapons and they have hundreds of billions to spend.
The problem is that they don't know what they should spend it on since they don't have a military theory for employing autonomous weapons that would drive the decision making process.
Not sure this group will pull off a military theory, but they are great at tech futures, which will point in the general direction of a solution.

5 Of My Best Reading Rules:
- Your aim as a reader is to understand WHY something happened; the what is secondary.
- Speed reading is a scam. You just have to spend a lot of time reading.
- Prefaces and forewords are there for a reason. Don’t skip them!
- If you’re not reading with a pen, you’re not really reading.
- It is not enough that you read. You have to read well.
I think the correct response is "No shit."
