@VisionsDeals feedback to improve online customer service phone. Pls include support hours in emails and on website with the number. Pls also notify customers calling that line is closed (I waited over an hour on hold with no reps and a 13m expected hold after hrs). 1/2

@VisionsDeals can also have reps process changes or cancellation while on phone with customer to handle errors and miscommunication directly. When I asked the CSR to process the change while I held they laughed at me and said they can't?

We think awful code is written by awful devs. But in reality, it's written by reasonable devs in awful circumstances.

A whole lot of engineers worked all weekend and deserve the week off. Friendly reminder that you should give it to them.

Just a casual reminder that in 1861, 11 Senators and 3 Representatives were expelled from Congress for failing to recognize Lincoln’s election and supporting insurrection.

America is now treating this exactly how they treated mass shootings. “Despite every other country in the world having it under control. It’s unstoppable. There’s nothing we can do. Deal with it.”
Opinion: Covid-19 isn’t going anywhere. So schools must reopen. wapo.st/2PzUHrf

Thanks to our AMAZING community, we’ve crossed the exaFLOP barrier! That’s over a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 operations per second, making us ~10x faster than the IBM Summit!

My spouse is a physician in the emergency dept, and is actively treating #coronavirus patients. We just made the difficult decision for him to isolate & move into our garage apartment for the foreseeable future as he continues to treat patients. (1/5) – at Atlanta, GA

HOLD UP. (Non-COVID content) @RuPaul was just on @NPRFreshAir and shared that he & his partner own 60,000 acres in Wyoming & they "lease mineral rights ... and sell water to oil companies" and Terry Gross did not follow up with one question about the fact that RuPaul is FRACKING

Got the first report that yesterday’s public shaming of tech companies withholding WFH is working. Company execs saw that they were called out, now has mandated WFH ❤️🙏. Pressure works.
