The man who firebombed the detention centre for refugees in Dover said he planned to "obliterate Muslim children" an hour before the attack. A mere day later, Suella Braverman refers to refugees as an "invasion". These terrorists are enabled by rhetoric from the top.

The UK media is *full* of people who love Braverman's fascistic depiction of refugees & feel 'politically' closer to the man who fire-bombed the processing centre than they do to the people in it. They'll dress it up as 'legitimate concerns', of course, but they're all complicit.

Blaming and scapegoating migrants for the all ills of the land is what politicians resort to when they have run out of ideas. It’s all a sad and worrying distraction. It will not bring about prosperity, better education, opportunities or reduce the costs of living.

This deliberate & inciteful hatred of humans, in this case refugees, is all they've got. It's all they've ever had. It's how Brexit happened. It's how Gullis ended up in Parliament & Braverman in the Cabinet. It's disgusting & wrong & the next shameful chapter has barely started.

This is hilarious! A number of people have got in touch to congratulate me on this - just to confirm that it isn’t real. Someone put it on social media as a joke!

You unbelievable sap. Johnson got nothing right - and did real harm - which is why we’re in this godawful mess. You helped boot him out last time. Now you want him back? You’re a joke. An unprincipled, cowardly, clueless fool.

Are you telling everyone to take Boris Johnson’s word on something?
Do you realise how much of a fool you make yourself look with that?
He’s broken a ton of other absolutely explicit promises - and he’d break this in a heartbeat. Everyone know that.

Johnson was partying in No 10 while my mum was dying alone, not having seen any of her children or grandchildren because we were obeying lockdown. It absolutely disgusts me that Fabricant and others think he's a suitable person to lead the country.
I have now formally nominated Boris Johnson for the leadership of the #Conservative Party which, if successful, will lead to his being our next Prime Minister.

For the record, Boris Johnson was on a Caribbean holiday during the most volatile time in politics (& his party) I can remember. He didn’t give a jot as it wasn’t about ‘him’. Once it is about him (returning), he’s come home to look after number one, himself, as he always does. – at Neston, England

If only there were some sort of record of Johnson’s honesty…

Every decision Boris Johnson makes serves his own short term gratification. The lies, betrayals, deaths, moral degradation & denigration of public decency this spawns bother him not one jot. But I’m *still* surprised by how many other people are similarly blasé about the carnage.
