After Duran, Cuevas,Benitez and Hill. This may be Hearns's beat win. Shuler was a huge MW. A great amateur from the 1980 boycott class. In his prime and full of confidence. But man Hearns was an "Anywhere, Anybody type". Imagine taking Shuler in a non title fight.
James Shuler was 22-0 and the WBC’s No. 1 middleweight contender.
Thomas Hearns erased all of that in 73 seconds. 😳
One brutal right hand ended the fight in Round 1 and handed Shuler his first professional loss.
That right hand changed fights instantly.

Close your eyes. Imagine this. A 32yr old has 2 losses. He goes and chases a fight with a monster of a man 25 yrs old who stopped the men in 2 rds who gave him the two losses. The man he chased was 40-0 with 37kos. Now open your eyes. That man is Muhammad Ali!!
🎲‼️ THIS IS THE MINDSET THAT MADE MUHAMMAD ALI UNTOUCHABLE🎲‼️💣
🧲 Before facing George Foreman, Ali wasn’t just training🎲‼️he was already winning the fight with his words, confidence, and belief.
