Not exactly the traffic you expect to see on I-70! Angela Benton took this video of a few of the loose cows from this morning’s crash near downtown Kansas City. These cows were making their way down I-70 just past the Admiral Blvd on ramp. @kmbc

Hey @NWSKansasCity ... I keep looking at this line of reflectivity... is that a mass biologic? Moving strangely and looking at beam height and tilts it's like there's very little over about 5000ft.

Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017: "I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."

From the sky, you can see the trail of hail that the storm dumped earlier near Haxtun and Holyoke. 📸 Aldo Rodriguez

BOOM! I happened to be shooting this galaxy when a star decided to explode. Pretty lucky! You can see it appear close to the galactic core. I’ll be shooting it every night for a while to watch it change brightness! This is comparing photos captured 10 days ago vs 5 min ago.

🚨 UNBELIEVABLE - A Staten Island NY man, Thomas Fahmy, was struck by Lightning on his way to a Dentist Appointment. "Once the lightning bolt struck me, the initial sensations that I had throughout my whole body were completely unprecedented; tingling, numbness, pain, just I feel this burning sensation." "No burns. I had multiple body exams; no burns at all. I went to church on Sunday to say thank you, God." Mr. Fahmy says he is grateful to be alive and went to Church on Sunday to Thank God for another Chance. That is truly a Miracle 🙏🏼

WOW! This is one of the craziest and weirdest lightning strikes I've ever seen. Apparently it had a real issue with that tree in particular. This was over the weekend in Sarasota, Florida. Credit: Dylan Jon Wade Cox Photography @stormhour

Our radar, KEAX, took a lightning strike early this morning. Technicians are assessing the damage and working to get it back up. At this time we do not have an estimated time of when it will be operational. Surrounding Radars to use: KTWX, KSGF, KLSX, KOAX, KDMX. #mowx #kswx #kc

Can we get a proper Carrington superstorm in 2035? Who needs the Matrix if techoligarchy makes the cage? From Spaceweather: "From an orbit about 625 km high, it will cast a moving, 5-km-wide patch of light onto the Earth about as bright as a full Moon. Later, the company could combine beams from multiple satellites to create much brighter spotlights. Reflect Orbital wants to launch 50,000 more by 2035, selling sunlight-on-demand to solar farms, construction sites and search-and-rescue teams". "If Reflect Orbital's plan is realized, it could be calamitous not only for astronomy but also for the natural world as a whole. Nocturnal animals and night-blooming plants, tuned by evolution to the rhythm of day and night, would suddenly find their darkness interrupted by moving pools of redirected sunlight. Small favors? Reflect Orbital says the light will not be bright enough to start fires". What's next? Blinking Coca Cola constellations?

Wild satellite loop of training thunderstorms hammering southern Ocean County, New Jersey for HOURS today, while the rest of the state is covered in thick wildfire smoke. The storms produced nearly 6 inches of rain, 1” diameter hail, and a wind gust of 84mph in Surf City! #NJwx
