The specialist CCNW team has completed another project on behalf of Natural England.
A series of rewetting and restoration works were carried out on Astley and Bedford Mosses, an SSSI-designated lowland raised bog.
The work aimed to improve the bog habitat's hydrology by blocking internal surface ditches, clearing overgrown scrub from the site and creating water retaining bunds to raise water levels and promote the growth of bog vegetation.
