When has isolationism ever made this country great? The Program Electronic Review Management system (PERM) is the pipeline that brings high skilled immigrants to the United States. Many of them start businesses and improve our economy. The process begins with J-1 education visas. Many visiting scholars become temporary workers, and then they can achieve permanent resident status. Suppressing this pipeline will cause highly talented individuals to simply go to other countries, like Canada or Europe.
Vice President Vance recently came out and accused companies like Microsoft of committing visa fraud without any evidence. There’s no evidence of improper financial relationships or visa abuse. “I don’t care how prestigious a university thinks it is, I will personally cuff you in the university square.” Labor Inspector General Anthony D’Esposito said. Trump’s administration has gone all in on this tough guy agenda, making it harder to attract and retain talent for businesses and universities here. Calling it “Project Firewall,” the administration is investigating companies they claim are abusing the H-1B visa program. Vance claims employers are making workers “indentured servants,” but this policy prevents workers the freedom to obtain green cards even if here legally, making them more dependent on unscrupulous employers.
Work will move overseas, perhaps to India instead. Applications to one Master’s program by foreign students at Columbia University have already fallen 27%.
It seems to be more about money when the administration has changed the fee to $103,265 for a H-1B visa for the “federal government‘s cost.” These fees were already struck down by a judge last year. It replaces random lottery selection to favor higher-paying applicants, and eliminates the 60 days you have to find a new sponsor if you lose the first one. They are also scrutinizing applicants’ social media accounts - they have revoked thousands of student visas during Trump’s terms in office. Trump has employed 566 foreign laborers who make between $15 and $27 per hour on the H-2B and H-2 temporary visa programs. Why is it OK for him to hire foreign workers, but we can’t bring superior students into our universities anymore? It’s anti-intellectualism, and it doesn’t make America great.

Army Major Nidal Hasan in 2009 killed 13 fellow soldiers and wounded 32 others. No doubt he should be punished. He’s being held on Leavenworth’s death row. President Trump obviously enjoys a macabre, vicious public spectacle display along with his cage matches, parades, and huge fireworks events. His plan is that on December 3, Hasan will be executed by firing squad. He will be shot by soldiers on the same base, the same day of the week, and the same time of day he committed his crimes, according to Secretary Pete Hegseth. Even though the Army manual restricts witnesses, they are planning on no limits on who would be allowed to watch. They are going ahead with a live-streaming event.
J.D. Vance tried to distance himself from the possibility that it would really happen, saying he would not be watching. Trump said “Did I approve? Absolutely I did.”
Recall President Trump asking in his first term why he couldn’t have people shot coming across our borders. The lowering of all decency in every aspect of life in America is what this presidency is all about. Secretary Hegseth is trying to take our services backwards in time to when women weren’t allowed in combat, we had no diversity, soldiers were not accused of war crimes, and to rename it the Department of War. Hegseth constantly calls our soldiers “warfighters.” How does this make us great? How does this qualify Trump for a Peace Prize?
It’s been 90 years since the United States had a public execution. It puts us in a group with Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, and Somalia. Even some Republicans are calling it barbaric and medieval. Trump admires cruel dictatorships, though. It will most likely have the opposite effect intended - not as a deterrent, but the celebration of martyrdom by radical Islamist groups, encouraging more murder of “infidels.“ During the attack in 2009 Hasan was paralyzed, and the image of a wheelchair-bound prisoner will service propaganda by groups like Al-Qaeda and Islamic State. Already there are messages circulating.
The Army manual states who can witness an execution. The base Commander, a chaplain, two news media members, the condemned prisoner’s family, and one victim representative, no one under age 18. Author Sonya Lea called public execution a “brutal carnival of sadism.” Hasan’s lawyers may ask for the public viewing to be deemed a violation of cruel and unusual punishment in the military code along with the Eighth Amendment. In 2001, a federal court blocked the feed of the execution of Timothy McVeigh. The Supreme Court has not weighed in directly as yet.

The Trump administration calls it their “Election Integrity Investigations,” still promoting the idea that non-citizens are voting. Homeland Security is investigating more than 150 nonprofits, saying they “may be helping non-citizens to vote.“ They have no evidence, but they are considering employee undercover agents to “disrupt activities,“ and they claim this will allow them to “dismantle illicit facilitation networks,” Democracy Forward reported, a legal advocacy organization.
If you wonder why President Trump has claimed over and over (too many times to count) that non-citizens are voting when there is no evidence, it is so he can once again falsely claim a voting result is corrupt somehow. ProPublica found between January 2025 and May 2026, only 41 people were charged out of 150 million voters in the last presidential election. It’s all so he can claim it’s “rigged“ when the Republicans likely lose control of both chambers of Congress. Instead of going after individuals, now it’s been expanded to organizations who help people vote. It’s all about intimidation, including positioning the National Guard at polling drop boxes.
In Pennsylvania and New Jersey the DHS has investigated 82 organizations, including going after CAIR, a Muslim Civil Rights group. 44 groups were examined in New Jersey and no derogatory information was found. It’s all just to give the impression of cheating with no basis in fact.
Heather Honey, a 2020 election denier is now serving as the go-to person for “Election Integrity.” She provided 48.4 million records of unknown origin to federal investigators recently. The Trump administration is spending our tax funds determined to purge people from voter rolls, with about three weeks until the election. They are no doubt going to use this strategy for the next Presidential election, as well. In addition, more than 50 million voting records have been sent to iLab, the innovation lab within Homeland Security Investigations, an arm of ICE. Heather Honey is a private investigator and her experience is in counterfeit goods. She’s only supplied theories in order to sow doubt, including a theory that more votes were cast in Pennsylvania than there were voters registered in the state. Trump still repeats that disinformation.
We must have an overwhelming blue wave in November.

Russia has not exported oil or diesel to the United States since the 2022 ban. President Trump has stepped up his support of Putin, calling for Ukraine to replace president Volodymyr Zelenskyy and for them to “make a deal“ with Russia. The only thing that will end the war is for Russia to get out of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy criticized Trump‘s diesel deal with Russia, Axios reported. Trump recently announced he has lifted sanctions to allow Russia to export diesel to the global energy market, including the United States. Zelenskyy told Axios the deal was, “Not fair and not honest.” Trump made the deal after repeatedly asking Ukraine to stop attacking Russian refineries— “I suggest they get a new leader who can make a deal,” and “he better damn well stop,” Trump threatened.
Ukraine has been without the support of our government under President Trump because he stands to make money under his “deals” on Russian investments Jared Kushner and Steve Witikoff have negotiated. The Republican-majority Congress has sat on its hands while Trump has done everything he can to remake the United States into a Russian-style oligarchy.
Zelenskyy reminds us of the Anchorage, Alaska Summit last year, where Trump agreed to many Russian demands without getting anything in return. President Trump made a statement on Truth Social he agreed to a deal for 3 million tons of diesel fuel from Russia. How much will he personally profit is the question? Do you believe the Kremlin statement that “significant attention was devoted to prospects for resolving the Ukraine crisis.”
Ukrainian strikes have cut Russia’s capacity by as much as 60% over the summer, and Trump is desperate to shift blame away from his decision to enter a war against Iran.
We need to vote out every member of Congress who has allowed Trump to make an alliance with Vladimir Putin.

#VoteBlue

When the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 rebuffing President Trump’s efforts to fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa D. Cook over unproven accusations of mortgage fraud, he did not relent in his efforts to fire her. She’s the first ever Black woman to hold the position. All because the Federal Reserve has not lowered interest rates. Unfortunately the Supreme Court did not define what an adequate process would look like to give her a fair hearing, so Trump has moved ahead with a kangaroo court. He has created a “committee of inquiry“ made up of his own handpicked deputies.
She has not been charged with any crime and her lawyer stated they had doubts about whether this hearing would be legitimate. A president can only fire a Federal Bank Governor for “cause“ which would mean malfeasance or dereliction of duty. Cook is in her position legally until 2038. Trump has been trying to fire her since August 2025. Now he has enlisted Kevin Hassett, his top economic advisor, the acting Director of Government Ethics Office and Andrea Lucas, the head of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Senator Elizabeth Warren was quoted as saying, “President Trump is convening an illegitimate show trial in his dangerous quest to illegally take over our nation’s central bank.” Reminder - the national debt is currently $36 trillion, and the federal government spends nearly $1 trillion annually on interest payments. But Trump claims lower interest rates will provide “rocket fuel“ to the economy, helping first-time buyers acquire a mortgage. This president doesn’t have a grasp on how inflation works. He blames interest rates when overlooking his own tariff policies and the Iran war for high fuel costs. His ignorance is appalling, and this will end up back in the Supreme Court. #VoteBlue

Criminal prosecutors and a Florida lawyer, who previously pleaded guilty to illegally accessing election websites, monitored the primary election in Maricopa and Pima Counties in Arizona for the Department of Justice, according to Democracy Docket. At least six different prosecuting attorneys were sent to the two most populous counties in Arizona at the center of a conspiracy theory since Trump lost in 2020. The head of the DOJ‘s Civil Rights Division Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon stated the election monitors were fulfilling the traditional role of “ensuring access to voting.”
The use of prosecutors and an FBI official raise concerns of intimidation towards voters, and is abnormal. The DOJ has also threatened Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) with criminal charges. The US Attorney’s Office in Arizona already has a dedicated civil division with attorneys acting similarly to the DOJ’s.
In the past, the DOJ‘s election monitoring program insured voters had access to the polls. Trump‘s continued efforts to prove some kind of fraud is causing the DOJ to bring pressure and scrutiny on state elections. The administration has said it will be including an unprecedented 1000 monitors - larger than the Civil Rights Division itself. They aren’t protecting voters access, but instead creating new barriers. One of these DOJ attorneys was identified as associated with working with Trump‘s lawyers and helped advise the “alternative electors“ in Georgia previously.
The NAACP sued the Trump administration recently seeking records about the plan to deploy the federal personnel during the midterms stating, “unnecessary law enforcement and government presence at polling sites can cause fear, create confusion and have a chilling effect on the electorate.” About 289 monitors were sent in 2022, and 714 in 2024. Where will the administration find enough personnel to do training or vetting for 1000 new employees, when they only employ 353 at the DOJ for the purpose of monitoring elections? The NAACP alleges the administration failed to meet the deadline for their FOIA request. All in the name of “ballot Security” and “election integrity.”

“Russia’s five-hospital quarantine, FSB involvement and reported hazmat use in response to the death of a single researcher at the weapons-lineage lab are inconsistent with a lab acquired plague infection, which would’ve been treated with prophylactic antibiotics,” said Kevin Esvelt, a biologist and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Esvelt is stating Russian authorities would surely have sequenced the pathogen, but refused to identify it. “Physical lockdown indicates it cannot be controlled with prophylactic antibiotics, implying engineered pan-resistance, or that it isn’t plague at all. It’s very likely the responsible agent is likely a pandemic weapon or otherwise embarrassing for the government.” He is calling for pandemic-proof PPE and germicidal UV and glycol misters be placed in public places.
Russian epidemiologist Michael Faber, who resides in the United States, has said Russia’s explanations are “laughable,” stating further that someone working at an anti-plague Institute would already be wearing a protective suit. Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Moscow is issuing a warning regarding reports of the plague and urged Citizens to leave the Russian Federation. The State Department said, “The State Department level-four travel advisory (do not travel) for Russia remains in place and states US citizens currently in Russia should depart immediately.”
Around 200 people in Siberia are facing Medical observation in the wake of the 28-year-old lab workers’ death. Pneumonic plague spreads person-to-person through respiratory droplets during close contact. The World Health Organization has been following up on the death at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute. The Russian health authorities have reported no case of plague after the WHO made a request for verification under International Health Regulations. Russia has stated they conducted an epidemiological investigation, implemented preventive and control measures and identified contacts. They were placed under medical observation and tested. They reported no high threat pathogens have been detected among the contacts. There has been a second employee that was reported with pneumonia of an undetermined cause.
President Trump has defended Russia as usual, stating, “The microbe is somehow stronger and smarter…like an army.” The Trump administration withdrew our country from the WHO which has impaired our ability to coordinate early warnings or outbreak responses. They dissolved USAID, restricting funds for foreign assistance. This has disrupted early detection, infrastructure, and delayed response times for diseases overseas. Do you trust Russia’s President or ours when it comes to pandemics?

The Aloha state has passed S.B. 2471 act 11, because governments grant a corporation its powers. Hawaii can simply decline to grant the power to spend on elections. The new law goes into effect July 1, 2027.
The law will bypass ‘Citizens United’ the decision the Supreme Court ruled on in 2010. The preposterous decision claimed corporate funding was somehow a function of the First Amendment, and that corporations were people. The decision opened a floodgate of corporate spending on TV ads, as long as the spending wasn’t sent directly to the Campaign. The sources of funding are dark, preventing voters from knowing who exactly is behind the ads. The spending tracker Open Secrets reported corporate spending escalated after the decision to $4.21 billion in 2024, from $144 million in 2008. The Hawaii law gets around this by not regulating power granted to corporations but whether a state is required to grant them spending power in the first place.
Other states are in on this effort to get corporate money out of politics. Montana has a proposal on November‘s ballot called the Transparent Election Initiative. Over a dozen other states have introduced similar bills in 2026, although none has advanced in the legislation as yet.
Hawaii’s new law causes corporations to be declared “artificial persons.“ Last year the think-tank Center for American Progress published a legal theory called “Corporate Power Reset,” stating when a state exercises its authority to define corporations as entities without its power to spend in politics, without the power to do so, the right to do so has no meaning. Violations of the new law will result in penalties, loss of privileges, suspension of state contracts, or loss of the right to operate in the state. Lawsuits will no doubt be coming to challenge the new law. People are tired of billions spent on campaign ads with no transparency.

Are we to believe the argument that economic ties with Russia will convince the Russian president to compromise on Ukraine? US-Russia talks on Ukraine are now tied to a new oil deal connected to Trump allies. New conflicts of interest are coming from Vladimir Putin‘s request on September 5 to Trump envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witikoff on a multi-billion dollar sale of Russian energy assets. Lukoil is Russia’s biggest private oil company and is now intertwined with ending the war in Ukraine. At the same time, Putin is using a “hybrid war“ against Europe’s backers of Ukraine, including online disinformation, cyberattacks, and threats of nuclear weapons. The group seeking the oil deal includes Todd Boehly, who donated $2 million to Trump, two Middle Eastern groups tied to Kushner, Witikoff’s family, and the US government itself.
The deal would release assets from American sanctions increasing their value. The deal will be made by Putin and Trump, involving income from oilfields as far away as Cameroon, Europe, and gas stations in New Jersey. Trump‘s description of the deal as a “tremendous opportunity,“ seems to reflect how he continues to improve his personal relationship with Vladimir Putin. One of the investors in the oil deal is the owner of World Liberty, Trump‘s cryptocurrency company. Other investors are tied to Jared Kushner‘s multibillion dollar resort in Albania, a private equity firm tied to Steve Witikoff, and Trump‘s sons. World Liberty generated $799 million to Trump last year. An administration official was recently quoted as saying that the investment by the federal government would ensure “a substantial upfront payment and profits interest for the United States.“ Mr. Boehly is a co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and gave a donation to MAGA Inc. of $1 million and another $1 million through his investment firm Eldridge industries to Trump‘s inauguration. Asked about the pending Lukoil investment decision, a US Treasury Department spokeswoman stated the Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control
“implements foreign policy, as determined by the White House.”

As a result of rising measles case counts in rural New York and neighboring Pennsylvania — with more than 1000 cases and 200 people hospitalized, Governor Hochul declared the upstate New York measles outbreak a “disaster emergency,” Gothamist has reported. 108 cases were reported through October 3, including 92 cases since mid-July in under-immunized rural communities.
Last year statewide there were 48 cases. Hochul ordered state agencies to help local governments in order to stop the disease from spreading. Her order allows more healthcare professionals to vaccinate and test patients and suspends the requirement for adults to consent to having their vaccination status included in a state registry. “No one should get seriously ill or die from a vaccine-preventable disease—these emergency measures will protect New Yorkers.“ Nationally measles is spreading in its worst year since 1991, more than 3887 cases have been reported as of October 1, by 47 states.18% of the patients are under five years old, and 43% are between five and nineteen years old.
There are 15 states suing the Trump administration over its changed guidance on childhood vaccines. Earlier this year, the CDC stopped recommending seven vaccines for children, including hepatitis B, RSV and meningitis. Five people in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County have died since the Trump administration changed the policy for reporting death. There has been a delay in the official death numbers. The only way to confirm what states are reporting is to check “real time“ updates from each state. Raise your hand if you are a senior in this country and $90 from President Trump will make you want to vote for Republicans. The proposal is yet another promise by Trump to give a one-time payment to citizens. The White House says the $90 payment will be sent to more than 20 million older Americans to lower healthcare costs.
$2 billion was set aside to improve Medicare’s Hospital and Medical insurance programs beginning in 2008. Both parties have used the money in the Medicare Improvement Fund since it was established. President Trump was quoted as saying, “We are finally using this fund along with my Most Favorite Nations Deals, to substantially LOWER costs for our Seniors.“ The other initiative is supposed to lower US drug prices. But has it? This week he also began to send out $500 Affordable Care Act refund checks to nearly one million people in 30 states, along with a letter bragging about his record. The White House has not responded to questions about the legality of these stunts. Where are the DOGE refunds he promised back in February 2025?
So far, the president is stating he will only make good on these promises if Republicans retain control of Congress. In any case, a $90 check for healthcare cost reimbursement is an insult. Please vote for Democrats. #VoteBlue

ABC News is reporting that American households will pay thousands of dollars more for energy through 2040 because of policy changes by President Trump.
How many US households will have their energy cut off because they can’t afford their utility bills?
The think tank Energy Innovation found that households will pay an average of $6500 more for energy through 2040. The president has canceled new clean energy projects such as wind, solar, and hydrogen. In five states, the cost will be about $9000 more: Oregon, Mississippi, South Dakota, Virginia, and Wyoming. This will increase the demand for natural gas usage to provide electricity. There will be more demand for gasoline as well, because Trump and the Republican Congress are revoking policies that incentivized efficient and lower-emission vehicles.
A group of environmental organizations have sued the administration after they lowered CAFE, the Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards - how far a vehicle can travel on 1 gallon of gasoline. Higher demand increases prices as a result.
The Energy Information Administration expects residential US customers to see the price of a kilowatt-hour rise to 18.6 cents compared to 17.3 in 2025. In some areas of the United States, the demand from data centers is being blamed along with the Iran war, which shows no signs of ending. Other factors affecting the rise in energy costs are volatility in natural gas prices, needed grid improvements, inflation, storm recovery and wildfire mitigation, the Rhodium Group found, an independent research firm.
A spokesperson at the White House claimed the president is “…unleashing reliable energy like coal and natural gas to reverse the damage Democrats did to the grid by increasing clean energy.“ A 2025 report issued by Trump‘s Department of Energy warned of increasing blackouts if the US continued closing coal and natural gas plants. Energy Innovation is predicting job losses in 47 states, projecting 37,000 premature deaths from air pollution, and $12 billion in additional healthcare costs. Republicans don’t want to get off dirty energy sources and it will harm all of us.

Secretary Pete Hegseth is urging the military to vote just as the Trump administration is making it harder for them to cast ballots. While Hegseth was calling for a one day voting “stand-down“ in a video sent to the commanders and supervisors in the Department of Defense, the Trump administration and Republican enablers have made changes that make it harder for those military personnel to actually cast a ballot. The administration got rid of a federal email-to-fax service that assisted some members when returning election information. They made last-minute changes to federal forms used to register and request ballots. They were stopped by the courts in carrying out more changes to mail-ballot rules for the midterms,l ess than 30 days before the election.
It’s hard for service members and their families who move frequently and deploy overseas on short notice, who usually rely on mail-fax and Voting Assistance Officers in order to send in their ballots. Hegseth urged voters in the military to utilize the Federal Voting Assistance Program, but as he did this, the FVAP quietly discontinued its Department of Defense fax service. It used to be that military and overseas voters could simply email election materials to FVAP and the agency would fax those materials to local election offices. Now they must figure out how to fax directly themselves to their local election office or use another method that their state allows. They must now first identify the correct official and make sure whether a fax return is allowed. Overseas voting forms were also changed for the current Federal Post Card Application. FPCA now requires more information to register and request an absentee ballot. Voters must first supply their drivers license and the last four numbers of their Social Security number. If they have no state ID, they must supply alternative identification. If your state ID doesn’t match your voting residence it’s going to cause confusion. Even small changes for military voters cause delays.
The Democratic National Committee has filed a new lawsuit against the DOD and the OMB. Meanwhile, Hegseth said, “Every warrior deserves an opportunity to cast his or her ballot, and be confident that it will be counted.“ Is he aware of what his president is doing?

ICE has been dumping protester photos into a Palantir database, Yahoo and Wired reported. Partially unsealed filings in an active federal class action show how the system built for serious criminal investigations is reportedly being used to catalog people for merely observing. The case is a result of Operation Catch of the Day, an immigration-enforcement surge in Maine during January 2026. An agent identified as “JC“ allegedly created an Investigative Case Management record for at least six observers. Government filings put the number at eight. According to the court documents, information collected included: photographs of observers, license plate numbers, home addresses, telephone numbers, and names of household members. They were labeled as “Threat to Law Enforcement, Professional Protester.“
Standing on the sidewalk in Portland Maine, Polyxenia Pantos photographed an immigration arrest. Days later, the information from a vehicle registered to her spouse was run through a database called Accurint - a law-enforcement resource by JC. A report contained the spouse’s address, phone numbers and cohabitants. JC then circulated photographs to colleagues before entering both Pantos and her spouse into ICM. Later the couple alleged JC made a phone call to them and threatened that observation could result in a domestic-terrorism watchlist entry. The government claims there was no entry of a plaintiff into that database. A Project Democracy attorney said the plaintiffs believe they were exercising First Amendment rights, but instead are being treated as criminal suspects.
The ICM system is built on Palantir’s Gotham software. ICE awarded Palantir the contract in 2014. At least $126 million has been awarded to Palantir for a product called “ImmigrationOS.”ICM automatically shares subject records with TECS, the CBP‘s traveler screening program. Reminder: the data-mining firm Palantir was founded by Peter Thiel, net worth $37.7 billion and Alexander Karp, CEO net worth $20 billion. Peter Thiel used his billions to get JD Vance elected as our Vice President. The Republicans must be held to account.

In Springfield Ohio, nearly 1400 workers at a truck factory were laid off just days before a Trump rally was planned nearby. The layoffs basically erased an entire year of job growth in the Dayton Ohio area.
A local worker there stated the ways his life has been affected recently to the AP. At the grocery store, five items cost as much as a full cart once did. The laid-off workers were employed at the Navistar truck factory in southwestern Ohio. The employee stated he would now be canvassing votes for Democrats. Asked how many times he had voted for Trump, he held up three fingers, but he says he’s done with the president. A member of the United Auto Workers, he identifies as a centrist.
“Seems like it just kept getting worse and worse and worse,” he said.
There will be a test for the working class who believed Trump‘s talk, as they suffer from inflation, the Iran war, and a president who is unsympathetic to regular people’s struggles. Republican Senator John Husted is facing a challenge in Ohio from former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, trying to come back two years after losing his seat. Trump is set to engage in a marathon of rallies over the next 30 days or so, to try and convince voters his economy is better than the public thinks. Trump stated, “The only thing we are doing badly at is public relations.”
Just 17% approve of his handling of the cost of living while he has outright sneered at the affordability issue. When asked about Trump‘s promised $5000 check, the Ohio worker said, “It feels like a bribe, a slap in the face, and like, that we’re all ignorant.”

It took "courage" to strip women of their most basic human right?
It took "courage" to tell women what they can do with their own bodies?
What an absolute irredeemable POS.
Just sick and gross and ugly and evil.
