@garybembridge afternoon sir. I’m currently aboard the MSC Euribia. Anything you want to know or would like me to look at for you?

Observation. We’re doing a round trip from Southampton via Hamburg, Rotterdam & Le Havre. It seems each of those ports is a home port for a round trip. This means safety brief and drill nearly every day. Makes relaxing difficult. I’ve not been on a cruise that does this

Random important thought from Jujitsu this morning. 7.1.24. 20 years to the day of opening the club. I only realised partway through. We didn't do anything special but just taught good old Jujitsu syllabus stuff. Small but very good class. Just worth noting.

Is the bot swarm over? Either way: Masks work. Covid infections cause long lasting harm. Covid is airborne. Boosters help mitigate illness but don't stop transmission. Covid harms kids. Ventilate and filter the air. Reduce the duration, frequency, and headcount of meetings.

I didn’t come into politics to watch the Tories drive the country I love into the rocks of decline. I want to tilt Britain back towards the interests of working people. So this year, I ask you to believe in our future again and vote Labour, to change the course of our country.

As we approach the New Year I usually have a joke or insight to offer. This year I have neither. Maybe an observation. At present the world is a gloomy place but there are good people amongst us who are lights that shine through the gloom. In 2024 be one of those lights.

Quoting because it’s true and it might prompt someone to be sensible. This is an interesting account. But I suspect it’s futile because those who won’t want to believe won’t believe regardless of evidence.
Masks work, vaccines reduce illness and death, there's masses of Covid around and it's dangerous, infections are preventable, and Long Covid can ruin your life.

Medical / nursing community, have I just invented a new word? My patient has polymorbidity? Is that acceptable?

Eventful first evening of Freemasonry after the summer break. Appointed to a new office. Received a grand lodge certificate. Performed CPR on a collapsed brother. Happy to report that he recovered and had his meal. I suspect he’ll have a sore chest in the morning. – at West Midlands, England

I’ve just been reading about Elton John’s latest bit of extravagance. He’s bought a treadmill for his pet rabbit to run on to help it maintain its health. He explained “it’s a little fit bunny”

This evening the wife and I have come up to the @brumhippodrome If we don’t see a hippo I’ll be very disappointed. – at Birmingham, England

#NHS75 @parkrun completed at Ludlow this morning. I ran the 5K in the uniform and PPE that I wore for seeing patients during the pandemic. Time - 32 minutes and 16 seconds (slow for me.) Money raised for @HelpforHeroes - £125.59 Thank you to those who donated – at West Midlands, England

#NHS75 and today I’m on the other side. Day off from work to bring the other half up to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Brum (@uhbtrust) for her “annual” #MS check. Last done in 2019, thanks to COVID19. So far so smooth. Parking was easy. Found Costa.
