Hey @thehill, it is crazy you would allow people who publicly advocate for my assasination to write this sort of piece for you. Could you please add some sort of disclaimer, like "Editors Note: The think tank that wrote this thinks Palmer should be killed in the streets."

The so-called first AI to "pass the video Turing test" just miserably failed each one of my extremely simple Turing tests.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

Many of the most vocal politicians now calling for government regulation of AI companies are also among those receiving the most money from the AI companies themselves. What an intriguing coincidence.

Another example of Effective Altruism’s deranged moral compass. The admitted criminal Ellison stole from FTX customers and yet is welcomed back into their ranks in a financial role while her victims still suffer. As usual, EA uses ā€œcharityā€ as a cover for doing what they please.
Former Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison has joined Manifund, a philanthropic funding platform. The fund’s founder said, ā€œI believe in redemption. Caroline has admitted her faults, worked to make creditors whole, and served her time in prison. I’d like to give her the opportunity to contribute back to the world; I hope that the world will concur.ā€ Manifold received seeding fund from FTX Future Fund. Its founder said ā€œmuch of Manifund’s work today is directly inspired by the Future Fund’s approach.ā€

If you aren't following the Metaplanet controversy, you need to, it's juicy. Essentially the CEO, Simon Gerovich, has an old, ill talked about options contract carried over from before Metaplanet became a bitcoin treasury company that weren't excersized yet until now, where he receives a fixed PERCENTAGE of the Metaplanet shares, not a fixed amount. So all this time while he's been mass diluting shareholders like it's the Weimar Republic, not only did Simon face zero dilution, the dilution caused Simon's share count to absolutely skyrocket,

Perhaps if my husband had encountered even one person who shared their bad LASIK experience - turns out there are many - he wouldn’t have done it. That’s why I’m sharing, in case it helps someone make a more informed choice and avoid this nightmare. That’s all, for now. šŸ™

Novak Djokovic in his documentary on why he refused the COVID vaccine: "Because I didn't need it. Why should I get the vaccine? I'm healthy, I'm an athlete. I had corona. I had immunity. I wasn't a threat to anyone. There was no reason for me to get vaccinated. It's my freedom to choose which that fundamental right that you have as a human being on this planet — the freedom to choose — which was taken from a lot of people."

This just gets worse and worse. There needs to be an intervention by family, social services, colleagues, university specialists. The poor chap is obviously in serious need of help. I hope he gets it. I fear what might happen if he doesn’t.
This is wild. The Atlantic has obtained a copy of Jason Arday's book proposal. In it, he claims to have: - Experienced 'locked-in' syndrome for several months after being hit by a car. Doctors advised his family to have the life support machine turned off, but he awakened 'miraculously' - Been struck down by testicular cancer (though this changes in the book to brain cancer) - Been beaten up by a group of kids and then, in court, pleaded with the judge not to jail them. Coincidentally, two of the kids later became his students, and Arday became godfather to the child of one of them - Aborted a suicide attempt on a bridge after listening to an Eagles song. - Been awarded several accolades - of which no proof exists online. - Been told by a 'shaman woman' in Brazil that he would suffer greatly but also do great thing. 'Every event she described has since come to pass,' he wrote. The book is due for publication next week by @simonschuster. Surely they have to pull it. theatlantic.com/books/2026/0…

The real victims of the Cambridge scandal are the students, who signed up to learn ā€œinclusive pedagogy and decolonising the curriculum within the academy,ā€ and instead learned totally made up nonsense.

A low margin business cannot cut product prices by any significant magnitude and make it, no matter what it’s scale. You are either being deliberately obtuse or have no business sense.

Whatever you decide regarding today’s $IOND direct listing, avoid placing market orders. You would risk being paired with a predatory bid on the other side of a thin market.
