I'm not a software engineer by training. I'm a creator who uses AI as a development tool to bring ideas to life. I love tech, cinema and photography.

Meta’s Muse AI agent leaked thousands of private conversations Security researchers at Claroc found more than 6,800 shared Muse conversation links publicly discoverable through DNS records. The exposed chats included sensitive material such as a small-business loan application, an internal revenue review for a company’s CEO, a bank fraud alert with a partial account number, and confidential notes for a job candidate’s call with an AI lab. Meta has paused the conversation-sharing feature while it reviews the issue. The links were designed so anyone with the URL could view the conversation, but the way they were generated made them easy to find. Would you trust an AI agent from Meta with your private data after this? futurism.com/future-society/… #Meta #Privacy #Surveillance #AI #Muse

The true test of a digital service may well be the day you decide to leave it. Can you retrieve your data, continue your work, and choose something else? If the answer is no, then that convenience may have come with a hidden price.
The autonomy of AI agents is highly praised. However, in some contexts, their best decision would be to stop and ask for permission. Mature technology should not only know how to act. She should also know when not to act.

Lumo can now turn your ideas into creations. Draft documents, write code, build web pages, all in a canvas that sits right next to your chat. 🪄 Everything is protected with zero-access encryption. Prompts aren't logged, aren't used to train any model. 1/4

Thought of the day. Why privacy is a feature we have to hunt for? This week, two very different news. First, Canada introduced its Children’s Privacy Code, but meanwhile, Meta was ordered to pay $25 billion over misleading privacy claims. Two very different stories. One fundamental question: 1. Why do we keep making users responsible for protecting themselves from the technology they use? 2. What if privacy, simplicity, and user control were the starting point instead of optional settings? If you could change anything, what would you change first about technology?

On parle beaucoup de technologies qui nous font gagner du temps. Mais à quoi sert ce temps gagné si on le passe à regarder notre téléphone? Peut-être que la prochaine révolution technologique devrait simplement nous laisser tranquilles.

A new version of #CalmFeed is on the Apple Store. I wanted to disconnect from social networks and the screens as much as possible, while staying informed. So, I built this RSS + YouTube reader that integrates functionalities to keep you off it. 😛 No ads, no algorithm, no doomscrolling, no tracking. Let me know what you think if you try it. calmtechnotebook.ca/calmfeed…

Anthropic says its research found ‘signs of life for AI worms,’ that could colonize household devices. Experts say they have a point. theverge.com/ai-artificial-i…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Anthropic's research used simplified, controlled tests on emulators with trivial unauthenticated access and did not demonstrate a self-replicating AI worm colonizing real devices; caveats and expert skepticism on hype were downplayed. anthropic.com/research/self-… reuters.com/business/ai-mo… newscientist.com/article/259398…

There is no scenario where it is healthy to have a Meta tool (Facebook or Instagram) in your pocket at all times on your phone.

Wow. Article ci-dessous.
