It makes me so sad, it took another child to liberate her from sexual slavery. That 40 year old man had roommates who told authorities that they didn’t notice anything bc she was introduced to them as “his gf”. I refuse to believe that you can look at her and not see a child.
FOR 17 MONTHS, A TEENAGE GIRL WAS MISSING. NOW WE KNOW WHAT SHE ENDURED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.
She was held captive in an Oregon home, repeatedly assaulted, cut off from the outside world, and forced to remove her own braces with PLIERS so she would be harder to identify.
She was just 15 years old when she disappeared.
Kylie Arellano vanished from her home in Garden City, Utah, on May 29, 2025. For nearly a year and a half, her family and investigators searched for answers.
Now 17, Kylie has been found alive.
Federal investigators allege that Adam Hunter Harmel (39) met Kylie online, offered her money to travel to Oregon, and drove to Utah to pick her up.
Once in Oregon, Harmel allegedly threw her phone into a river, prevented her from leaving, and subjected her to repeated physical and sexual assaults.
But after 17 months, Kylie found a way to reach someone.
She reportedly contacted another child through an online gaming platform. That child told a parent, who contacted the FBI. Agents eventually listened in on a video call as Kylie described what had happened to her.
On November 1, 2026, authorities rescued Kylie from a home in Huntington, Oregon.
Harmel was arrested and is now facing federal charges.
Think about that. A teenager held captive for 17 months managed to find a way to get help through an online game.
And because another child spoke up, and a parent took it seriously, Kylie is finally free.
We know how investigators say she ended up in Oregon. What is difficult to comprehend is how she could be held there for 17 months without anyone discovering what was happening.
But today, the most important thing is that Kylie survived.

Bro the nigga made her remove her own braces with pliers so she'd be harder to identify. We gotta get creative with this nigga's punishment
A 17-year-old girl held captive for over 500 days was rescued after secretly asking another teenager she met through ‘Among Us’ for help
Her captor had given her a phone with no cellular data but Wi-Fi access, allowing her to play the game
After moving their conversation to another app, she revealed she was being held captive. The other teen alerted a parent, who contacted the FBI, leading to her rescue

Dating and relationships aren’t to be managed like projects at work. It’s not supposed to be perfect before it even starts. We’re supposed to fall in love, figure things out, and make mistakes and learn from them.

I really hate when y’all do this because this is NOT the same thing. And while I believe Chlöe is far more talented than Sabrina, that doesn't mean every criticism of her artistry is rooted in a double standard.
Chlöe isn't presenting herself as some quirky black girl in the music she's trying to sell to the masses. She's been unsuccessfully marketing sex appeal, and the criticism goes beyond simply being sexually expressive.
Sabrina's song is about getting naughty with her man through playful Christmas innuendos. Chlöe's song is about being Santa's side bitch, whos fucking him behind Mrs. Claus back, while also dressed in a childlike Christmas costume and playing with TOYS. Those are two very different creative choices.
You can defend Chlöe without forcing comparisons that don't hold up. This isn't helping her or the conversation surrounding her artistry.

The roads are terrible. The roads are so terrible. If it’s not a portal from kgn to japan it’s unruly civilian drivers (who are as bad as the taxis now tbh) and then at night you can’t even see the roads with how the brights are glaring and blinding. I’m tired grandpa

Calories in patty is a myth. It’s actually a calorie free food. Coco bread too. Calories don’t count, and they especially don’t count if your coming from a doctors appointment. And in the event that you are, that’s the only time the orange juice doesn’t have calories either.

He is 42 years old 🇺🇸
His younger brother is named Osama. On 9/11 his stepmother called to say she was picking the brother up from school. Abdul stayed at school "just in case" anyone needed defending.
After 9/11, at age 16, he was a target on the football field, got into a fight after hearing racist comments, and was told by his coach "You're going to be Abdul El-Sayed for the rest of your life. You can use that as an excuse or as motivation"
His Egyptian grandmother (Teta Soad), who was illiterate and raised kids in a one-bedroom apartment above a fish market, is the person he still asks himself about daily "Would Teta be proud?
He was born on Halloween
Captained his high school football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams.
He has said he has only seen his father cry twice in his life. One of those times was when his father had to tell him that Teta had died.
At age 30, he became the youngest health director of a major U.S city when he was appointed to rebuild Detroit’s health department.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed met his wife Sarah through the Muslim Students' Association at the University of Michigan and proposed while she was still a freshman.

Abdul El-Sayed is the first Muslim Senator in US history.
It's an huge win for the Muslim community, the Democrats and the state of Michigan whom majority voted him in.
He has emerged as a Senator because a part of the people in the state of Michigan believe in his competence in governing affairs, as he has proven himself in past offices.

In the midst of all the uproar going on, let's look forward to how this win will bring about the best interest of the people of Michigan and the united states in general, as this is the most paramount.

Not wrong, just early
this is why I love working at @VanityFair
yesterday, I saw half our staff clustered around our fashion correspondent's desk poring over this photo. As José puts it, "The image has several discrepancies. The style and make of the Chanel Flap bag is inconsistent with others the brand has sold, and the Valentino shoes in question appear askew in proportion; their straps have several punched holes that the authentic Valentino style does not."
AI image detectors confirmed that yes, Olivia Reingold used an AI-generated image to make her point, without a drop of disclosure. Wild!!!!
