@calendarorg The most talented and creative NFT project I've seen in few months.Inspired by the book "Radical Market",founded by @scottfits from CITYDAO. the key innovation is Harberger Tax to deal with Partial Common Ownership problems.Let's wait and see what will happen next.😘
January 1st purchased for 2.5 ETH and renamed from Vitalik Day to @StarcatchersNFT Day
after a crazy few days, the calendar is back. calendar.org
Today we are launching calendar.org - a collection of 366 NFTs - one for each Gregorian Calendar day from January 1st to December 31st. The owner of the day gets the special privilege of naming the day, but that ownership is subject to the Harberger Tax.
His work inspired a concept called Partial Common Ownership, which ensures goods cannot be monopolized by requiring the owner to pay a tax on a self-assessed value. This tax was named the Harberger Tax by Eric Posner and Glen Weyl in their paper. academic.oup.com/jla/article…
We believe that mechanism design is a promising yet under-explored way to create prosperity. Inspiration for Common Calendar comes from the California housing crisis, the book Radical Markets, @glenweyl, Henry George, @VitalikButerin , and the folks at @RadxChange .
Starting December 31st, we are releasing NFTs for each day of the year at calendar.org.
The owner gets to name the day, and the Days are subject to the Harberger Tax.
