For the last six months my sleep performance averaged 88%/7.5 hrs of sleep (92% the last month)
I've spent 5+ years constantly A/B testing everything in my life to find a way to both grind/focus + shut it down/sleep great
Here's what I do
I have this problem where I can’t turn my brain off. 😫🧠
Sometimes it can be a super power, but most of the time it's really frustrating.
➡️ I'll wake up at 3am and my brain is racing with ideas.
➡️ I'll be chatting with a friend but my brain is thinking about all sorts of stuff unrelated to the convo.
➡️ I'll be 15 min into a movie and I'm lost in thought.
➡️ And worst of all, I'll be playing with my kids but in my head I'm processing all sorts of other things.
Have any of you found ways to quiet your brain and be more present?

Humor is often the missing variable in winning content.
This guy in the Cut30 happening right now has 150k views with a 14.9% skip rate on IG as a new creator. He has a serious niche (tech), and humor is top of funnel.
I personally try to get in at least one quip every 30s of a video. It's easy to start, then it's a LOT. I study John Oliver, Johnny Carson etc on YouTube.
Not everyone can do it, but when you can... rips.

Why I think it is a GREAT time to be in ecommerce:
- new platform shift
legacy to agentic
anytime there is a platform shift (retail to online, online to amazon) there is the chance for new brands to make it
- meta on the offensive
when meta ships, we win
reels was the biggest boon to my business since stories
totally undid all the damage of ios14
now they have another breakout app, but this time it has credit cards and purchase data
and it is 100% theirs
golden era of digital ads coming
- new SEO, but this time, tied to spend
LLMs like things that are popular.
meta will like people who spend with them
established brands are going to have a leg up of they play their cards like
a brand with 10 million customers will just be more likely to be suggested, and if meta is taking a cut of sales (directly or indirectly) they will be sending people to the greatest hits

its a beautiful new day my friends.

Ridge CEO @Seanfrank is bullish on Muse's impact on e-commerce:
“I think it’s a great time to be selling everywhere and as big as possible.”
“I do think Muse will end up having 200 million downloads or whatever. It’s going to be super used. And I think shopping is gonna be a huge use case.”
“What I’ve heard from people at Meta is that they’re not going to monetize it anytime soon. What they want to do is get people to make purchase conversions happen inside that app.”
“And all the data they lost over iOS 14, it’s just going to make your ads perform that much better.”
He also thinks big Meta advertisers could have a head start in agentic commerce, because their existing ad spend is already feeding Meta data about what converts:
“If you’re a big spender, you’ll get that data cycle started sooner.”

Introducing our State of Markets pt 2, along with a companion podcast where we unpack the data and discuss what comes next.
Tech is the everything cycle.
Supply: putting the buildout in context, just passed railroads as % of GDP. The wisdom of Elon is real: the factory (or the datacenter!) is the product.
Demand: diffusion is so, so early. Median AI vendor spending in the top 1% of companies is 8x that of the top 10%. Only about 30% of S&P 500 companies report a quantified AI impact, which means there’s a substantial opportunity in connecting models to a company's data and workflows. Diffusion into companies is one of the main themes of the next 5 years.
We’re entering the agent work period. Only a few million users today, but applicable to billions of internet users with massive surplus created. META/GOOG monetize US users at $200+ per year today. Agent opportunity is much higher.
Mega-trends the next 5 years: Consumer agents, Robotics, Autonomy, AI x bio, Personal health, Diffusion into enterprise, New era of American Dynamism.

We are now entering into an era where any product can be created exactly to a consumer's preferences & needs.
I vibe-fabricated a dog door with a wifi-controlled lock, perfectly to the specifications & design of my house.
I know nothing about metal fabrication or electrical engineering.
It's now getting manufactured and delivered in 2 weeks -- for almost the same cost if I bought a mass-produced item off-the-shelf.

Thrilled to announce @getOuterSignal has raised a $22M Series A.
A year ago, @zachzelner and I saw an opportunity to revolutionize personalization. We spun out a tool he’d built into a company, and got to work. In the time since, we’ve gone from a few early customers to thousands, from 2 team members to 25, and created an entirely new frontier for how businesses can understand and market to their customers.
Our team has built a robust platform, trained internal models, conducted industry-leading research, and onboarded thousands of companies we’re proud to work with.
So, this raise is meant for one thing only: to keep shipping, faster than ever, the very best products for the consumer businesses we power.
Ecom, hospitality, mobile apps and beyond: OuterSignal is here to supercharge the way companies connect with consumers.
As founders, we’re humbled, grateful, and truly just getting started.

And if you’re an A-player ready to work on something ambitious and enduring, we want to meet you. DM’s open.

The $2,000 Apple iPhone Duo. Ridiculous? Let’s chat about it.
My first two thoughts with any product are: who is this for, and what does it do for them. Those two things should shape how you talk about a product. And they're not talking about either.
Let me know what you think

Dogfooding Opus 4.7 the last few weeks, I've been feeling incredibly productive. Sharing a few tips to get more out of 4.7 🧵
Getting around LA is annoying.
But getting around LA in a Waymo while being productive opens up a lot of possibilities.
So bullish on a driverless future.
Will be great when there's less bad drivers around.
Will be great when there's more options besides these ugly ass Waymos.
Will be great when there's some premium options.
One of the biggest fucking opportunities for software:
Capcut competitor.
This is the same as figma to adobe.
There are millions using capcut (myself included), and it's the biggest piece of shit I've ever used.
But the learning curve for adobe is god awful.
What a dumb thing to go after @nikitabier 😂
