One year of barracks data on Hots&Cots has not shown improvement. Overall ratings moved from 2.1 to 1.7 across 256 reports. The most-tagged issues: nonworking HVAC, unclean, mold.
This is firsthand feedback, not a survey. It's also what service members are sending in. A soldier posted this review this morning.
Since Hots&Cots launched, and throughout the task force, I made clear that our data is open to the Department to help it understand quality-of-life issues in the barracks. Earlier this year I also offered to visit installations and highlight quality-of-life wins. It didn't move forward.
When the first task force stood up, many junior enlisted told me nothing would change. A year later, I haven't seen a public answer to the question they asked.
The original task force deserved a fair look. For this one: what will it measure, who will see the results, and how will a soldier in a barracks know whether it worked?

I saw an older guy who was wearing a 5th SFG ball cap today. I had to go introduce myself and I asked him what he as involved with. Turns out, he was a Vietnam guy who was involved with the “Mobile Strike Force” also known as a “Mike Force”. These were the QRF, using indigenous forces trained by them, who would hopefully rescue the SF camps who were way out in the boonies, when they were attacked by the NVA and Vietcong. We started trading stories back and forth. Just a super cool conversation.

I’ve known @laurenboebert for 6.5 years when she showed up in Durango trying to primary a 4-term congressman with $ 1 million in his campaign account, Rep. Scott Tipton.
We both confronted him, she did as a candidate and I did as a constituent pissed off he was on an energy bill with AOC. I pointed my finger at him and said, ‘when you are on a bill with AOC, you are in bad company, Sir.’
Lauren and I were pretty much instant friends and I happily helped her win that primary.
I was traveling with Lauren in Dec 2022, we were just at the TPUSA, AmFest right before Christmas and we were at the airport and I said, ‘are you going back to DC?’
She said, ‘yes, I have to, who else is going to fight that OmniBus bill.’
Lauren Boebert & Chip Roy were the ONLY two Republican congressmen trying to bring attention to the $1.7 TRILLION bill that Nancy Pelosi passed on Dec 23, 2022.
Because of a snow storm, she made it home on Christmas morning, just in time for church that Sunday.
You find out who your Representative is on votes like that. Who is willing to go back to DC and fight for you, sacrificially.
I’ve been with Lauren at events where most people lived in the nearby trailer park and I’ve sat with her in meetings with 10 people around a table and 6 of them are billionaires.
Guess what.
She’s the exact same person in both situations. She stayed and took a picture with every single person and she even autographed printed photos that I would mail back to the constituents. Happily and quietly, I’ve never shared this.
Yes, she’s made mistakes and her life is a fishbowl. I went thru a very, very painful divorce and I am very glad none of that was in the newspapers. I am also glad my failures haven’t been printed and it’s only between me and Jesus.
She’s fought for the Epstein files to be released, as well as the taxpayer funded slush fund that pays off victims of congressmen’s sexual misdeeds.
Think about that.
We are paying for payoffs to keep victims silent, while Lauren’s life has been front page news. The establishment protects the ones they can control.
Even with her mistakes, she’s pulls herself up, she flies to DC and she fights for us. Her voting record is impeccable because it is who she is to her core.

💸 1. The $2.7M Taxpayer "Bribe"
When a top official got caught altering court financial records, Colorado Supreme Court Justices didn't fire her. Instead, they negotiated a 2.66–2.75 million taxpayer-funded contract preconditioned on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to buy her silence.
🙈 2. Stacking the Oversight Boards
When exposed, the Justices refused to step down or recuse themselves. Instead, they used their power to stack attorney and judicial oversight boards with allies—creating a corrupt loop where they investigate and clear themselves.
⚖️ 3. Retaliation & Evidence Suppression
Judges ignored credible misconduct complaints, suppressed evidence, and used public relations strategies and gag orders to retaliate against whistleblowers and witnesses.
