The trauma, sadness, loss, and overwhelming sense of regret are unimaginable until they strike home. Losing my father 7 years ago tomorrow to gun violence has been the hardest battle of my life, and navigating a world without him feels like a struggle I may never fully overcome.
The statistics are staggering— gun violence has claimed countless lives, leaving families shattered and communities in turmoil. This is why the progress made under the Biden and Harris administration, particularly in passing one of the most comprehensive gun violence prevention policies in three decades, is so crucial. Their leadership has sparked hope, and I believe the Harris-Walz administration will build on this foundation, pushing for meaningful legislation that prioritizes the safety of our communities.
Their commitment to addressing gun violence is a key reason I support them. I am determined to advocate for a White House that not only reflects the voices of our citizens but also prioritizes the urgent need to combat gun violence.
