A new type of user requires a new type of architecture. Legacy software wasn't built for agents and now they're breaking it. Today, we're launching the next generation of our platform powered by a hybrid architecture. Building this has been the most ambitious and challenging engineering challenge of my career. Attio now supports SQL - offering a PostgreSQL compatible connector and syntax that allows our customers and their agents to query all of their data like a database. It's transactionally consistent, horizontally scalable and allows agents to access the full context they require using a language and syntax that they're well trained on using. Whether you're accessing your data through our UI, our API, our MCP server or now our SQL Data Connectors: your team and your agents get the full context, every time. Today we're launching Ask Attio, our most powerful product update ever. It's a reimagining of CRM that puts agentic workloads at the heart of the platform. Ask Attio builds upon months of deep technical work to unlock the full potential of @attio and enable agents that operate with unparalleled scale, accuracy and insight. We call this system Universal Context: it combines semantic, full text and boolean capabilities to provide a transactionally consistent data model built to run game changing agentic workloads at scale. And even better, Universal Context isn't constrained to Ask Attio - you can access all of the power of Universal Context through any tool you choose through our brand new MCP server! We're so excited by the possibilities that Ask Attio and Universal Context open up for our customers - let us know what you're excited to try first? attio.xyz/ask_now

Eleven years ago I founded my first startup. One of the first things I did was to get a desk at the startup coworking space at Google Campus in Old Street. Through that community, I met so many of the people who would shape my career and learned so much about what the startup ethos is truly about. As we have scaled Attio, we've partnered with Google Cloud to build on top of the mind blowing technologies they've created like Spanner, Colossus and Gemini to power a new generation of CRM for our customers. For all these reasons, Google is deeply woven into my startup journey and that makes today's announcement so special to me. I'm beyond excited to announce our $52 million Series B, led by @mcbmichael and the @GVteam, along with the continued support of our incredible partners from @Redpoint , @PointNineCap , @balderton and @01Advisors. We're entering a software renaissance driven by AI and we're unbelievably excited about continuing the hard work of delivering the next generation of CRM. We're building a truly AI-native platform that can run code, integrate anywhere and bring unified context for the next generation of autonomous workflows. None of this would have been possible without the support of the more than 5,000 customers who have already chosen @attio as the backbone of their GTM stack. Your belief in our vision is what has made this possible and I can't wait to share more about some of the incredible functionality that's still to come. I'm incredibly grateful for the continued support of @alexbard , @patrickachase, @ric0seq, @wanderingvc and @dickc whose belief in Attio from the earliest days has been so essential to our progress so far and to my co-founder @nicolasosharp, for the many sleepless nights and challenging decisions that got us this far. We've got so much still to build, and we're always hiring, so if you are interested in being part of reinventing the core of the GTM stack, please take a look at attio.com/careers For now though, it's back to building!

What makes CRM such an interesting problem to work on? We asked some of our engineers to chat about what it's like to build the future @attio

Such an interesting take? Do you think that we copied the exact text, layout, avatar pictures and copy from them as well? I encourage you to review the screenshot above and the screenshot directly from our website. This is a simple HTML to Figma job being passed off as original work - not design inspiration.

In today's @Cloudflare genius: 1. Experience a niche error and write a neatly formatted support ticket with evidence and logs 2. Attempt to submit via support portal - unable to open tickets / chat anymore and have to post on Community 3. Post on Community 4:🤦‍♂️

I have never seen a product with a worse activation flow than @okta . It's so comically bad that I don't understand why they offer self serve signup. Rant below: So far I have signed up for a trial, which has given me a randomly generated slug that starts with the word `trial`. This would be fine, except for the fact that is part of the URL that gets featured in all of our app configurations - so it's really not something I want to build on top of. Okay, let's change the slug. It turns out that you need to contact support for this - so let's try and get in touch with support. Logging in to the Okta help center - I'm told that I cannot access support, allegedly as I'm missing the Case Admin role. At this point, I'm quite frustrated. A newly signed up super admin should surely be able to contact support? Well let's go and setup the case admin role according to their documentation. After doing that, I am confronted with the same error message. It seems Okta simply doesn't offer support to trial accounts at all - even though the error says something completely unrelated. So it's at this point where you might reach out to Sales - hopefully a 50 seat hot lead is worth someone's time? I'm now scheduled to chat with a BDR three days later who has basically said they can't help until we've spoken on a call. No doubt the AE afterwards will say the same thing. Even if somehow after all of this I still wanted to pay for this thing, I can't - because billing is not self service. So congratulations Okta for being the first company I've ever seen to build a net negative onboarding flow.
