Key pearls from Dr Brittany Weber @Bweber04 on inflammatory cardiovascular risk at #ASPC2026:
🫀 Autoimmune diseases increase cardiovascular risk beyond traditional risk factors.
🫀 Greater psoriasis severity is associated with higher ASCVD risk.

Grateful to share our expert opinion in Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology.
This one was a true labor of love because it came directly from the questions we hear so often from patients with recurrent pericarditis: “What does life look like on IL-1 blockade?”
How worried should I be about infection? Vaccines? Work? Travel? Masking? Daily life?
Our message: for most patients, IL-1 blockade should mean thoughtful precautions and a return to normalcy, not unnecessary restriction.
Proud to have worked on this with an outstanding multidisciplinary group.
