So my current theory about Nanoless'... what the heck it is, because it's not really an apology. For it to be an apology, it must first at the very least acknowledge what she is even apologizing for. After rereading it several times, it can be basically summed up as "I'm sorry it happened" and "I was young and stupid", completely sidestepping adressing what she actually did. The most she did is acknowledge her involvement, but not what she's actually responsible for. There is not even an attempt to take accountability. Sinder spent several dozen pages adressing what she believed she did wrong, explained it all in detail and acknowledged the parts that she believed she was at fault for. Nano couldn't even be arsed to do that. But the real details that is so strange about is WHY NOW? Why wait a year and a half to give this empty, performative apology? I believe the answer is simple: Money is running out. Here's what we know of Nano. She loves to gossip about her clients, especially with other clients. She's flaky and can just straight up cancel commission because she can't be arsed to finish them and blame other for it. She now has a history of backstabbing, twisting facts, editing screenshots and generally lying through her teeth for personal gain. Why would anyone want to work with her? Correction, why would anyone PROFESSIONAL who takes this seriously would want to work with such an unprofessional liability? As I predicted over a year ago, Nano is now more of less 'owned' by Shylily because frankly, no one else would want to hire her and anyone who does want to hire her, simply can't afford her. But Shylily is not Ironmouse. She's not someone who can buy a model every other month. Bao isn't going to be buying any new models anymore. The money... is drying up. Her ego will not allow her to lower her prices either because she quite enjoys the prestige she's still clinging on to. She loves the money and her expensive lifestyle, obviously. A single commission of hers is more than what the average brazilian earns in a year, after all. And so she concocted this bizarre and empty apology. It is not an apology to Sinder, which is why it's public. No, it's an apology to the public instead, to show that she's changed, that she's no longer "young and stupid". It's why the apology fails to acknowledge how exactly she was involved and what she actually did. How it tries to paint it as just an oopsie that she did because she was young and confused. She is very much in the position to ACTUALLY fix some of the reputational damage she caused to Sinder. She can admit to her lies, admit to what she did... heck, she can admit to the lies of the others involved in this too! But that would require her to sacrifice her own reputation and clearly as we see, it's not worth it for her. Because it's not an apology. It's a last ditch effort to save some face to hopefully make people think about hiring her again because she realized that she either has to lower her prices, or sit like a loyal puppy waiting for Shylily to brush some scraps off her table for her.
