Open-source Bluetooth Low Energy chip? 10 years ago the SDR BTLE project was created. I found it was used in some places: github.com/JiaoXianjun/BTLE/… . Recently I add Verilog with detailed algorithm description and python model for the next 10 years: github.com/JiaoXianjun/BTLE/…

Where I live, my current cellular provider is not good. Found out that my phone is on 4G 800MHz, and seems like I am the only one in this area using it. It is dead silent, so I decided to turn off Wi-Fi and show you the «magic» of cellular! I start with Safari and open up a few random webpages before I do a speedtest. @Aaronia_AG #SpectranV6 #SpecAn #4G

New blog post: LTE downlink: PDSCH. I show how to decode the PDSCH (downlink data) transmissions step by step in a Jupyter notebook written from scratch. I use the SIB1 as an example, but decode all the transmissions into a PCAP file for analysis with Wireshark.🧵

I finally found some bad solder contacts that resulted in instabilities when handling the sphere. It’s rock solid now, I can roll it over the floor, and it looks stunning in person.

New blog post: Demodulation of the LTE uplink. A self-contained hands-on walk through the analysis of the uplink signal. The post assumes some knowledge of OFDM, but no previous knowledge of LTE. We demodulate some PUSCH slots that I have recorded from my phone. (1/9)

R&S #CMW270: #openwifi shows promising performance. EVM achieves 33~38dB! #AD9361 plays cool. W/O external LNA, sensitivity still achieves -74dBm (64QAM 5/6) to -88dBm (BPSK 1/2) (AD9361 needs signal stronger than -62dBm for good RX EVM). Similar to AR9271 COTS chip. Stay tune.

This was a fun final project I created for a DSP course at university, so I decided to update it for my blog, as I learned a lot about beam forming processing and simulation. Hope it can help others as well! teaandtechtime.com/adaptive-…
