We've seen a massive increase in both the number and sophistication of fraud attacks. CAPTCHAs and WAFs are not nearly enough.
Clerk Protect (a @clerk product) is starting to roll out generally.. This is just the first release of many.
If your application is under attack, DM me. We can most likely help. Clerk Protect will work with any auth provider, but it will be at toggle away for existing clerk customers.
Super excited to make bad actors, sad actors.

Daily active MCP servers managed by @clerk has grown 13.7% WoW for the last 5 weeks (forgive the data hole)
Clerk is the easiest way to build MCP alongside traditional auth

The fact that you can switch this on in a day and enable your users to self-serve their own enterprise auth inside your app with no design or front end code is 🔥

I got a fairly scary account takeover scam in my inbox this week, delivered through a genuine email from OpenAI. Let's break down its mechanism and reflect a little on how we can both protect ourselves from scams like these, and stop them from being propagated through our own apps: 🧵
o11y and "log data" is one of the foundational pieces of user data that clerk stores on your behalf. If you know the "current state" of the user, and the "historical path" of how the user got there -- you paint a complete picture of the user. This feature gets immensely more powerful when we introduce custom events.
Weekly improvements are ongoing and we're not stopping until it's easy for you and your agent to easily dig through and understand this data!
Data cleanliness gets me unreasonably excited, and this thing is going to ✨

The #1 marketing lesson from Monaco:
Monaco has our first marketing hire starting today. I’ve been doing marketing for the company with <10% of my time. I don’t have much marketing experience prior to Monaco (I’ve been in sales most of my career). My #1 lesson: just try things.
The animation below represents my experience perfectly. The data isn’t mine, but anecdotally seems correct. 9 out of 10 startups never try something new. Most that do, fail and quit trying new things. The top 1% just keep shooting. Keep shooting.
Super cool! Fun fact, for @clerk we built this flow before agents even existed.
Onboarding experience should always be seamless!
Introducing: ✨ Agent Experience (AX) Tier List ✨
One question prompted this: Can an agent sign up for a service on its own?
We scanned dozens of providers to see where they stand in terms of login flow, bot protection, paywall and sign-up
Here's what agents can actually sign up for, fully autonomously as of Sep 17, 2026: @mastra, @clerk, @WorkOS, @IntrospectionAI, @Netlify, @AnchorBrowser, @ElectricSQL, @sanity_io, @vercel, @neondatabase, @upstash
Others like @modal, @supabase, @daytonaio, @resend, @mintlify, @agentmail, @ExaAILabs, @langfuse require at least one step that involves a human in the loop
Full list is on 2027.dev/axlist
All signup flows are shown in their respective tiers: S (fully hands off), A (just confirm), B (copy a key), C (figure it out) and D (blocked)

I told opus to dig a hole under my house and it stood on the roof and fired a machine gun through my bedroom. job well done 🫡
Just like humans agents need structure. @clerk gives agents that structure one abstraction above the database... the clerk team has spent years curating app-level patterns that make it significantly easier to build on the rails in an incredibly critical layer of your application. One of the many benefits.
The sophistication of fraudulent sign up/sign in attacks has absolutely exploded… Excited to be on the frontlines of this agentic warfare. Deploying agents to fight agents is so fun 🫠
Ai model companies win again
Your app needs auth. @v0 knows where to find it.
Clerk is now available with one click in v0.
Anyone else get random slack connect invitations from @salesforce team members where they then try to sell you something?
Some next level nonsense
