Super excited to see this but how can it be a movie? Seems like a GOT style long series would work better???
A ‘RED RISING’ movie is in the works at Paramount
• Francis Lawrence (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) set to direct
• The story follows a young miner living on Mars who attempts to bring down the color-coded class system

This looks great -- I subscribed and I hope you do too. Good to have more local independent coverage of UK sports -
Big personal news: I've left the Herald-Leader, but I'll still be covering the Kentucky men's basketball team full time.
If you enjoyed my coverage in the past, I’ll need your support to make this work.
Here’s more on my new (independent!) approach: insidekentuckybasketball.com…
This feels like Game of Thrones for people who aren’t very bright.
Eric Deters warned the White House last week he wanted help with something, and if he didn't get it, he'd go public saying US Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle asked him to pay $100,000 in credit card debt for her. Trump chief Susie Wiles didn't answer him.
Deters told @CBSNews today he wanted the extradition of a Pakistani doctor who did spinal surgeries on patients who didn’t need them. "Thursday, I sent Susie Wiles, Don Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle an email, and I told them, I said, 'You got until 5 o'clock on Monday to help me out with the Durrani victims,' and I just said, 'Let me know what's being put in motion' -- meaning the extradition of Dr. Durrani. They didn't respond. And I told them, 'If you don't, I'm going to go to the media and try to get the media's help because you're not helping.' So I gave them one last shot, and they ignored me," he told @weijia
Interesting. Maybe they’ll make a smart deadbolt that doesn’t suck. I’ve tried 4 of them so far and they all are horrible.
NEW: Apple - in an unusual partnership with LG - is readying a Doorbell, Deadbolt Lock, Thermostat, Indoor Camera, Outdoor Camera, Floodlight Camera and more to rival Amazon and Google as part of its major smart home reboot. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Who knew, there's a store in Philly that has the backboard from the christian laettner shot on display. sadly not for sale, because #dukesucks and #bbn.
Still loving Muse. Gave @OpenAI’s dots a try today, but even with all it knows about me and has access to it seems less capable and less fun / natural to talk to. Still early though, so will see
Do wish the muse ideas tab had a better tuning mechanism. Not interested means can mean so many things (already done, hate the idea, etc). Feels too blunt.

Children who eat dinner with their family most nights do better in school, have fewer behavioural problems, and are less likely to develop eating disorders. A 2023 umbrella review in the journal Nutrients combined the results of 57 reviews and found that family mealtimes were consistently linked to better outcomes across every domain measured.
The review found that children who ate with their families regularly had higher fruit and vegetable intake, lower rates of obesity, better academic performance, and fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety. The association held after controlling for income, parental education, and family structure.
The mechanism is not the food. It is the conversation. Family dinner is one of the few remaining settings in modern life where a child sits with adults, without a screen, and practises talking, listening, and being heard. The vocabulary exposure alone is significant: children at the dinner table hear a wider range of words than children who eat alone, and vocabulary at age five is one of the strongest predictors of academic success.
The review also found that the quality of the meal mattered less than the fact of sitting down together. A takeaway pizza eaten at the table with conversation produced similar benefits to a home-cooked meal. The key variable was the shared time, not the menu.
Nobody has time. Everybody is tired. The research says that twenty minutes at a table, phones off, food on plates, talking about nothing in particular, is doing more for your child's brain, body, and mental health than most interventions that cost money and require appointments. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3744…
Dear @whoop. I love you product. Please keep your eye on the ball. This is not the ball.

Never easy to let something go but unfortunately it was time. Too many challenges with this one to get it consistently in the black - mostly due to the old building constantly needing repair - thankfully the other ones are doing great this year!
