Read the story behind @omnibook_xyz. Some wise words from our founder and CEO, Vihan.
I spent nearly a decade as a quant trader. Building systems. Tuning algorithms. Bleeding for every ounce of P&L. One bad month and you don't sleep. In 2022, I was in a meeting with a biz dev guy from the NSE. We were talking the massive numbers printed by top quant shops. Then he said something that stopped me cold: "All of this pales in comparison to NSE itself." His description of the business of India's largest exchange was simple: a machine you turn on at 9:00AM, turn off at 3:30PM, and count the money. I felt sick. In a good way. The exchange has no dog in the fight. It collects the toll while traders fight each other on its rails. Many exchanges run 50%+ NET margins. Not gross. Net. Traders eat what they kill. Exchanges own the jungle. An exchange is one of the best business shapes that exist. In the same league as ads, payment processing, and insurance. A toll booth on human activity. I knew right then I'd build one someday. Last year I stepped away from trading to build something venture scale. My first instinct was to build an exchange. But I didn't pull the trigger and went on a soul search instead. And six months and many pivots later I ended up exactly where I started: building an exchange. The last bit of math I did in my head: if I'm leaving a stable cash flowing business to start another, might as well just go for the jugular. This should be the last business I build and the one I run for the rest of my life. And funnily enough it's one that demands everything I enjoy and am good at: trading, building, marketing, branding, design, community, social media. All of it. At the risk of sounding melodramatic: I've been a gambler for nearly a decade, and now I'm building the casino. Yesterday, @omnibook_xyz went live on testnet. The machine is on.

I've talked to the Polymarket team many times, both as a KOL and as a builder/trader in the ecosystem and honestly, it's funny to see all this FUD that haters are trying so hard to push If you're an active user you probably remember @shayne_coplan or @MatthewModabber sliding into traders and KOLs DMs, asking for feedback, connecting with ppls and just genuinely wanting to chat This was literally not that long ago and Shayne was already a billionaire at the time I genuinely can't think of another billionaire who would PERSONALLY REACH OUT FIRST to regular users just to talk to them That says a lot about him. I've been watching the platform evolve and seeing all the updates they've shipped over the past year Honestly, we're growing at an INSANE pace You can love or hate @Polymarket but I genuinely believe they're leading the prediction market industry and driving mass adoption. Yes, I agree that the team sometimes makes mistakes and some of them can look pretty cringe But they fix them and more importantly IT'S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL C'mon guys, we're talking about one of the fastest-growing startups out there, a company that has grown massively in just one year Of course people are gonna make mistakes along the way. That's completely normal Just give them more time. They're already doing an incredible amount of work At the end of the day all this FUD is just another stress test And I believe Polymarket will come out of it even stronger
This is total nonsense. We're one of the largest early investors in Polymarket, and this story that Shayne was "caught red-handed" using company money is just a flat out garbage hit piece. Shayne wasn't taking a salary. He was 21 when he started Polymarket, he was living hand-to-mouth running the company out of his apartment, barely making ends meet when he was raising his seed round. We were his first term sheet and literally offered to loan him money personally, but he ended up not needing it when the seed round came together. After COVID and the crazy Biden-era crackdown on crypto that was happening at the time, there was a lot of chaos in almost every company in the industry. As an investor, we saw a lot of companies go through pandemic-era startup craziness, and Polymarket was no exception. But Shayne disclosed every dollar he spent, which turned out to annualize to about a software engineer's salary. That's including the flights, none of which were personal flights. Plus, SHAYNE STARTED the accounting and payback process, no one “found” it. In aggregate, it was nothing that an investor would balk at. He paid it back to the company in full, and then got on a normal salary like everyone else. It was an accounting problem, not an integrity problem. It was not a big deal. Polymarket has had growing pains, no doubt. It went from a small fledging startups to one of the most explosive consumer brands in America. But Shayne has leveled up alongside the company, and as investors we have total confidence in him. Enough of this stupid FUD. The end.

Wallet that auto-switches when you open pump.fun or PancakeSwap? Yeah, SOLbin just said “hold my SOL.”8 chains, one recovery phrase, rent reclaim included so your empty token accounts stop holding your SOL hostage. Self-custody that actually understands how degens move. 🔥 solbin.fun?ref=XSWBBBA6

Most launchpads talk about security. SOLbin just put up a 100/100 audit score. The latest update specifically kills nonce replay attacks, so a signing request that’s already been used can’t be replayed across different server instances. That’s the kind of detail that actually matters when people are launching and trading with real money. They’re keeping it fully non-custodial — keys stay on your device the whole time — while hardening the backend. Quietly building something that feels more solid than the usual Solana launchpad noise. @SOLBINfun is worth watching if you care about this stuff. solbin.fun?ref=XSWBBBA6

Incase you didn't understand what this meant, it's simple Team A are playing beside your street and as a result your restaurant is packed with many fans so what do you do you take out money and bet a no that team but now if they keep winning, fans come making your bar packed more and more what if they lose and they don't advance keeping the fans from coming there, then your payout on no enters Either way you don't lose much, if they lose and customers stop coming, you win your payout on polymarket :)
An LA hospitality group runs 25 bars, many of them right by Dodger Stadium. Every extra playoff game means packed bars. An early exit means lost revenue they were counting on. So they hedged it. They put $60,000 on Kalshi on the Dodgers *not* making the World Series. The Dodgers lost the NLCS to the Brewers. The position returned nearly 2x, helping cover the playoff business that *never* came. A Columbia law professor told Fortune it works like “a form of bespoke insurance.” Read the full story here: fortune.com/2026/10/19/predi…
