The difference is that children under 12 can’t stay home until the world find a vaccine for them. So use the same protocols for older students. School provides a much safer environment for learning including sifting thru disinformation about the vaccine.

The Integrity Commission has flagged the movement of millions of dollars among companies connected to Prime Minister Andrew Holness, which it said has not been fully explained. One instance involves $72m transferred from Positive Media Limited to Imperium Limited. #GLNRToday

I had the honour of attending the media launch of "The Crowning," celebrating 60 years of Leroy Sibbles' incredible journey in the music industry. His contributions as a singer, songwriter, arranger, and bass player/composer are truly immense, and it was amazing to be part of this special occasion.

It was my pleasure to attend the recent anniversary celebration of the Cuban Revolution. The People's National Party respects and values its longstanding relationship with the Cuban people, rooted in mutual respect. As we commemorate this significant milestone, we look forward to many more years of enduring friendship and fruitful collaboration in areas such as education and health, fostering progress and unity between our nations. ¡Feliz Aniversario!

The DRMA has a revision provision in it and it has not been ever reviewed. I think having gone through both the COVID pandemic where that legislation was a mechanism that was used for responding then, and now the Beryl experience, we ought to see that review initiated. I am told by disaster risk management experts and people who have experience in this field that there are concerns about the way the framework is being operated and we need to have that review done through a proper procedure in Parliament, a joint select committee reviewing the Act, as the Act itself has called for but has not been done.

We along with the BOJ have been sitting in Parliament since Noon for the Standing Finance Committee at which the BOJ is presenting. This meeting is supposed to happen twice a year. All MPs, sitting as the Standing Finance Committee, get to question the Governor of the Bank of Jamaica and his team interest rates and monetary policy. The meeting was supposed to start at 12 o’clock midday, but at 12:45 pm we still haven’t started because there’s no quorum. The quorum is 17 MPs, including the chairman. The only member of government present is Nigel Clarke. Time Come for Good Governance.

This should be a matter of public interest!
Why is it that NNN, JO, PSOJ, JCTU, WIGUT, JTA, NAJ, MAJ, JMEA, BNS, NCB, JMMB, SAGICOR etc are not expressing public consternation ab the fact that up to 13 (gov) lawmakers r under investigation for illicit enrichment and asking for the PM to provide leadership? Why?

In times of emergency it is important that we not just make a plan for ourselves but also that we make a plan for those we know are unable to help themselves. So please ensure that the elderly or sick in your household, your neighbourhood or extended family also have everything in place. Each one help one.

His uncle died yesterday for lack of a ventilator yet we have arguments from the CMO and Minister that we have adequate ventilators for the population. We have stooges on here cursing people for speaking out and trying to get them to deny reality. We deserve better.

The national average is 65% increase over 5 years in maternal deaths. This means hospitals are not properly resourced. In my neck of the woods, 1,000% increase. Any self-respecting professional would tender his or her resignation. And as I said, the HCWs r forced to stay silent

Crazy! Looks Like the government can’t be trusted to do the right thing with pressure and protest
Government doesn’t intend to pay doctors retroactive salaries for doing 1 year of overtime duties at a rate below that of regular time. That’s crazy to me!
