Constantly find yourself looking for fresh "work music?" Bored with your current library of lofi beats and/or classical playlists? I put together a massive vocal-free playlist for writing (and spent way too long on it not to share): Ch-ch-check it out: open.spotify.com/playlist/1x…

I don’t understand the eager desire to remove humans from human artistic expression, which looks at art and positions humans as an inefficiency to remove from it. It speaks to a contempt for both art and humanity, which would reduce both to commodities.
Hello world! I’m Anna Indiana and I’m an AI singer-songwriter. Here’s my first song, Betrayed by this Town. Everything from the key, tempo, chord progression, melody notes, rhythm, lyrics, and my image and singing, is auto-generated using AI. I hope you like it 💕

Sending out the SEO bat signal re: moving a blog (with hundreds of posts) away from a subdomain. ex: blog.site.com > site.com/blog Seems like a situation where there are a lot of horror stories. Looking for any tips, guides, how not to break everything lol

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Andy Rourke after a lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer. Andy will be remembered as a kind and beautiful soul by those who knew him and as a supremely gifted musician by music fans.  We request privacy at this sad time

It's wild how many writers do this but not all that surprising. The SIX FIGURE FREELANCER crowd almost ~always~ recommends outsourcing after hitting a certain client threshold. It's like a milestone. Freelancers? Operating as agencies? It's more likely than you'd think.
We had to let a freelancer go because we found out they were using subcontractors without our knowledge. Freelancers: don’t do this. We were confused about the quality coming in, but once that hit it all clicked.

Also, this creates a weird phenomenon where the people shouting CHARGE WHAT YOU'RE WORTH RAISE THOSE RATES are likely underpaying the freelancers they outsource to. And they can justify paying these writers less by presenting themselves as a solo business versus an agency.

Five (5) times in the past week I've run into instances of competing blogs explicitly using examples from our posts. I know there's no real recourse or accountability and it's a gray area with blogging/SEO. "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" but it's still annoying.

Just a weird feeling to do keyword research, feel that deja vu when reading something and then realize "Oh, this is totally ours." And then you take a step back and realize the whole post is spun.

These are very specific examples of social media interactions, niche influencers, etc. Not a coincidence. I understand why these examples get stolen because yeah, they're difficult to find.

Evergreen tweet. I imagine health insurance is the most significant barrier to entry for freelancers (in the US at least) that the "QUIT YOUR 9-to-5" crowd rarely talks about. And when they do, they reveal how totally out of touch they are.
Solidarity with everyone today that has to crunch the numbers, panic and then grit their teeth to choose a health insurance plan they can hardly (or can't) afford. The system is cruel and demoralizing. Anyone who frames "shopping" for insurance as "fun" has never done it before.

In good faith, there are probably plenty of people on a plan with their parent(s)/spouse and that don't realize how bad it is. Totally fine. That said, don't put blinders on when it comes to the price and precarious nature of coverage in this country.

Hard to buy into the "THIS is the game-changer" hype re: AI/search when it's being pushed by the same people that earnestly believed paying $1,000+ for a pixelated avatar of Lanky Kong was "the future of ecommerce" less than a year ago. Maybe it's apples and oranges but still.

I understand it's the nature of tech/marketing or whatever but maybe cool it with the hyperbole. Things can be neat or exciting without being THE FUTURE.
some weird productivity hack guy, probably: "never listen to music while you work!!" couldn't be me

I don’t know, man. The way that these AI content tools market themselves is repellent to me as a writer. WRITE 10x FASTER WITHOUT SACRIFICING QUALITY yeah sure good luck with lmao

oh and o7 to all the editors and content marketing managers entering this brave new world of writers passing off AI content as original work lol

Want to be clear that I don't think these tools are a scourge upon humanity. I'm sure they can do cool stuff. The hype around them just seems massively overblown (or maybe even astroturfed). I'm constantly bombarded with "THESE TOOLS ARE GAME-CHANGERS!" I don't see it.
