Have you made your plans to Vote No on Issue 1? Politicians are trying to take away Ohioans’ constitutional right to citizen ballot measures. In addition to requiring 60% to win, #Issue1 could stop reforms like RCV from ever reaching the ballot. Vote NO to protect #MajorityRule!

Why is #VoteNoInAugust so important? The Statehouse’s proposed Issue 1 would take away #MajorityRule and make citizen-led ballot initiatives virtually impossible. This is a direct threat to pro-democracy reforms like #RankedChoiceVoting.

Situation:
You have two projects, a UI and a REST API.
The UI and API are written in different languages, so different devs do UI vs API dev.
The UI is the API’s only consumer. Longer-term, a few other apps will call the API.
Do you put the UI and API in the same repo?

I get this question quite often from various teams. In OOP, encapsulation is not about making your constructs "hacking proof" but about communicating intent to consumers.
We're preventing them to make unintentional mistakes. We don't assume they're evil, that's not our concern!
Recently, I was indirectly told that using accessors like internal and private to control access is an anti-pattern because you can still get to them via reflection.
What do you all think?
Do you use accessors to help control what has access to what in your code base?
