STARLINK keeps advertising their services to me, but it's impossible to subscribe to their services since they handed over their subscription to third parties owned by Nigerians. The inefficiency is truly dumbfounding. I bought the Starlink kit from @dabz_global and I sincerely regret that decision, it's a total waste of money.

I think the moat now is distribution. AI is making software faster and cheaper to build. More products are competing for the same customer. Railway caught my attention because its guides, deployment templates, and agent tools give people useful paths into the product. That takes time to build: an audience that trusts you, content that solves problems, and a place inside the tools customers already use. The product still has to deliver. But getting discovered, trusted, and chosen is becoming the advantage that compounds. How much effort are you putting into distribution compared with product development?
Moats! Does anyone have one anymore? Yes. Yes, they do. But only a small subset of what people call moats create real long-term value and defensibility. Not actually a moat: 1. Distribution: This does matter more than ever. Building products has gotten easier, but getting them to customers has not. Distribution, however, does not create durable defensibility. It helps create the raw ingredients for one, but it is not itself a moat. 2. Execution: Yes, speed is critical for startups. But a company that has to sprint forever is not a good business. Ultimately, it will misstep, slow down, and competition will catch up. Speed gives a company more shots on goal as it tries to build a great product and a great business, but it must eventually find something more durable. 3. Brand: The idea is that when everyone is building the same thing, the most resonant brand will win. But for startups, brand works more like customer acquisition spend: Put money in, get growth out. It’s not something that will effectively keep others from competing long-term. Brand can become a true moat over time (as with Coke or Nike or Apple), but it just takes too long to really matter for most startups. What you're looking for is compounding advantages: a self-reinforcing flywheel that gets stronger and stronger over time, ultimately making a company very hard to compete with long-term. There are only four compounding advantages that really matter. Every major tech company has at least one: 1. Switching costs: The more deeply embedded a product is in the way a customer works, the harder it is for that customer to switch. This increases retention and revenue per customer, which can be reinvested into the product. 2. Network effects: The more users a product has, the better it gets for everyone. This increases engagement and attracts more users. 3. Scale economies: The more volume a company has, the larger and more efficient its operations can be. This lowers unit costs, funding lower prices or a better product at the same price, further driving up volume. 4. Data effects: The more usage a product has, the more data it generates. This data can be used to improve the product and increase usage. If you can’t see the potential for any in the startup you’re considering joining, that’s a red flag. In today’s incredible post, @danhockenmaier shares a simple framework you can run in about an hour after getting an offer: 1. Identify a startup’s compounding advantage 2. Gauge how strong it could get 3. Measure whether it’s working Inside: dozens of real company examples, the specific metrics to track, and benchmarks for what good and great look like. This is why I'm currently building a solution that will make it very easy for technical founders like me to push out content that grabs attention, I've been testing it on LinkedIn, and it's working so far; I haven't launched yet.
the next wave of founders will all be marketers it's easier for a creative to learn to build than for an engineer to learn how to generate attention building keeps getting easier and marketing keeps getting harder

I handed a live Google Ads account to an AI agent. Here's what it found in a year of data. Google was counting every page view as a sale, so it spent the budget buying page views. Two of the three ads were still selling a discount that had expired. The account was paying for searches the business can't serve. And auto-apply was quietly changing the account, with nobody checking. The agent was Claude Code, powered by Opus 5.5. It read about 8,000 rows and showed me evidence for every problem. Then it fixed them through the Google Ads API. Google checked every change first, and nothing went live until I said yes. Before, the average click cost $1.51. In the first full week, it cost ninety-eight cents. So the account got 30% more clicks a day and still spent less. Claude Code with Opus 5.5 is the best setup I've found for running Google Ads. I wrote down the whole method. Comment ADs, and I'll send it.

Made this post a few days ago, never knew I'd be quoting it so soon. No matter how small, make practical moves daily, they compound, because a day will come when you will be asked, " What have you done? What have you built? Without evidence, you'll be speechless.

When running Google Ads, avoid chasing Google's Optimization Score and Recommendations. If you do, you'll spend more than your budget with little to show for it.

I've seen that a lot of Nigerians only come online to make noise, with no survival instincts, no urgency, no self-preservation instincts which is why they mostly helplessly vote for crooked politicians and then hope and pray for God to intervene. There are things God will do for you and there are things you must do for yourself, which is why my biggest motivation is King David. He never allowed anyone who came for him or his family to go unpunished, he would always ask God, “Should I pursue”, God would say “Pursue and Recover all”, you must note that God didn't come down to pursue his enemies or adversaries for him, he had already equipped him with all he needs to pursue and recover what was lost, but many today are waiting on God in heaven to come down chase out thieving politicians for them, some spiritual leaders are even backing these thieving politicians.

No better time to build than now, build something amazing now in 2026, the opportunity to build single-person billion-dollar companies is right in our hands now. Opus 5.5 is really good and fast, no fluff.
Opus 5.5 performs at the level of Fable 5.1. It's ~30% faster and ~40% cheaper than Opus 5 per task. In Claude Code: - 5-hour session limits increase 20% today - Opus 5.5 is priced lower, so it goes 25% further within limits - Pro, Max, and Team users get a reset to use anytime

I think these guys at @OPay_NG think they can get away with anything, because this is Nigeria 🇳🇬. You guys fraudulently created an account for me, added a Sterling Bank card to it, and then forced me to verify my identity when I wanted to delete the account after I discovered that @OPay_NG had opened an account for me using my phone number. I wouldn't have found out if not for a post by some guy on X. @OPay_NG do the needful, @Sterling_Bankng has made it clear to me that I have no bank account with them, as that is the case, how did a Sterling bank card get attached to the account @OPay_NG opened without my notice? This is fraudulent.

I'm trying to close an OPay account I didn't open, but I was forced to verify it just to close it, and @OPay_NG has refused to close it. People mistakenly send me money to the account instead of my Moniepoint account, and this is frustrating, @OPay_NG, I don't want a bank account with your bank, close the account.

More website traffic doesn't help if the enquiries are for work you don't do. A quick test: take your last ten enquiries, note the service each person needed, and mark the ones your firm takes on. Which is it for your firm: too few enquiries, or the wrong ones?

Dem been want use Marketing wound us for X. My candid advice to founders, don't burn your money on unnecessary marketing, especially when you have no product to show, not even an MVP, or in some cases a manual way of giving value to users.
Okay, so this is all sweet and all Elvis but about our unpaid salaries? You talked about the people who worked with you on the project but you blatantly left out the fact where you and @Mazerance have been owing us unpaid salaries for the past 7 months.

Things like this Mazerance case are the reason I have continued to build my products myself and with my own money, fully self-funded. I will not spend more than I earn, I will not pay salaries bigger than my one-week earnings, this allows me to stay focused while my products cook. It's also why I have refused external funding and even media coverage from some US media houses.

Google has shipped two core updates and three spam updates so far in 2026. None of the sites we build and manage lost traffic through any of them. Scarsdale Solicitors is the clearest example. It's a Greater Manchester law firm in a very competitive UK legal market, up against national firms and directories. We rebuilt the site, and it started from zero. Seven months later, it gets about 6,717 visits a month. We don't do anything clever to get through updates. Every page answers a question a client actually asks, and nothing on the site was written to trick a ranking system. Updates go after sites that do the opposite. Case study in the reply.
