When you’re certain you’ll win, you give it your all, but the moment you doubt it, you hold yourself back, too afraid to risk it all, because the less convinced you are, the less you’ll put on the line for the prize

Decide the type of person you want to be.
Prove it to yourself with small wins.
We’re in year four of developing the traditional KILLABEARS film. We still haven’t rolled cameras, and as many of you know, it’s been quite the journey. The wen wen wen crypto crowd has shared with us their displeasure at times :)
Hollywood moves at its own pace. We have navigated the process as best we can. It's just slow.
We made our first two live-action shorts to illustrate our vision and help move the larger film along. They were a lot of fun to make and to share with our @killabearsnft and wider crypto communities.
As AI tools improved, we started discussing a third short. We were kicking around ideas a couple of months before learning about the Lumara Film Festival, presented by @moonpay and @AskVenice.
We felt the technology was ready, the concept for The Broadcast was strong, and it fit naturally alongside our first two shorts.
So away we went... we made it, and submitted it to the contest.
Three things are clear.
1. The traditional film process moves slowly. We’ve felt that firsthand.
2. We’ve built IP that people connect with. Our IP, story and universe have depth. We’ve seen people of all ages and backgrounds connect with Dr. Fomo, the bears and the stories we’ve created.
3. Creative control gives us options. Early on, we declined a network term sheet largely because we wanted to retain control of our IP. Keeping that control means we can explore any type of content, at any time, and on any medium that we chose. There’s real value in taking the harder road when it gives you the freedom to choose what you make next, and also when.
That leaves us with two paths we can pursue in parallel.
Path 1: The traditional film
We keep pushing forward. As @SethGreen told me in 2022, it moves slowly forever, then suddenly at lightning speed. I’m eager for the day I finally get to meet Zeus ⚡️.
Path 2: Exploring an AI series
The Broadcast has shown us what the current tools can do. We want to build on what we’ve learned and explore how this could work as a series.
KILLABEARS launched on-chain in 2022. We’re a crypto native brand built around characters and a community. Using new technology to bring our world to the screen feels like a natural extension of those roots.
And we want these stories to reach people far beyond crypto.
The Broadcast is now one of six finalists for Lumara’s Grand Prize and Jury Selection awards.
@kickRRR is flying in for the occasion, and we're looking forward to attending the premiere.
We appreciate @moonpay and @AskVenice giving filmmakers a stage through Lumara.

People give what they carry inside. Confident people uplift. Kind people include. Mature people communicate. Healed people set boundaries. Focused people don't compete. Grounded people protect their peace. Growing people learn to let go. Happy people encourage. Successful people always support. Secure people celebrate others. The way people treat you is often a reflection of what lives within them, not a measure of your worth.

The reason you're not creative. Not motivated. Not focused.
AKA the stuff that came easy to you as a kid.
Is that every form of "relaxing" in our society is SMASHING our minds with serotonin and dopamine.
TikTok. Video games. Drinking. WATCHING sports.
If you're doing these to relax, your mind is never at rest.
Like a dude spending every waking minute in a strip club. You'll become numb to things that used to drive you wild. Your motivation to chase plummets.
When you relax, you have to actually relax and empty the mental bucket.
Drop it all. Read. Pick up an instrument. Lift. Keep your phone in a drawer far away from you. DEPRIVE yourself of the easy serotonin and dopamine.
All that gusto you used to have as a kid will come right back. Then USE the drive on what matters. AKA the thing, the work. Then ACTUALLY relax again.
99% of people are on a treadmill. They do low-focus, low-creativity, ass work... Then get home and scroll, eat sugar, play video games/scroll/watch Fox News/CNN, wank, binge Netflix and repeat.
Like the guy in the strip club, they can no longer enjoy the "curves" of life because they're in overdrive... staring at ass and tits 24/7.
You're not getting old or dull or necessarily suffering from ADHD.
Your brain just hasn't had a breather in years.

.@TomBrady on how to be great:
"If you wanna be great at something, you've gotta commit your life to it. Certainly in a competitive environment like a sport. Because you could be better than 80% of the people, but that doesn't mean you'll be a champion. If you want to be a champion, you better be better than 99% of the people, which requires another level of work. You could have a nice, long career and be successful, and everyone go, oh yeah, he was a nice player, working at 80%, but the level to get to the 99% and be better than them, well, that's another level of physical, mental, emotional growth.
Where do I need to be every day? How can I be better, like I said, in whatever area? For me, physically, I was behind. I was really good mentally. I knew the plays. I was a savant when it came to the playbook. You put the playbook in front of me, I looked at it. I saw the play, I saw the adjustments. Okay, flip the page. Okay, I say, yep, I got that. And it was just, in my mind, like I can remember plays. You call a play, I visualize it, I see everyone running. Tell me the coverage, I tell you all the holes.
That was the easy part for me. Like some guys can run really easily. And then the emotional part of bringing the competitiveness and the fire every day. That was easy for me."

A neuroscientist just proved multitasking is a myth and makes you 60% slower — Live experiment, on camera.
He writes “I’m a great multitasker” + 1–20.
Straight through: 31 seconds.
Then she makes him switch.
Letter. Number. Letter. Number.
He falls apart.
Forgets where he is.
Restarts every switch.
By 30 seconds he’s only at 40%.
60% slower.
Same task.
Same person.
Only difference was switching.
She calls it switch cost.
Attentional residue.
The baggage you drag from one thing into the next.
Average knowledge worker does this all day.
2+ hours lost.
Every single day.

By default, we typically don't want to hear the truth. We just want to hear confirmation of what we already believe is the truth.
