A year on from the General Election. A year of broken promises, scandal and failure from Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael - probably the worst government ever.
We’re taking them on at every turn and we won’t let up. We will keep fighting to make life affordable, to reunite Ireland, to achieve a better future.
Coinneoidh muid ag obair ar do shon, ar son do theaghlach, ar son todhchaí níos fearr, agus arson na hÉireann.

We hear again today that soaring homelessness has hit a new record high. 5,274 children wait for Santa's visit with no place to call home.
It comes as worried households, faced with rip-off food prices and energy bills, prepare to cut back on Christmas. This is profound government failure. A betrayal of people’s right to dignity and opportunity.
It doesn’t have to be this way. A better future is possible. We will never stop working for a new republic where a home is a right, where life is affordable, where you and your family receive your fair share.

Today the Leaders of Combined opposition and Senator Frances Black came together to support the passing of the Occupied Territories Bill.
The time for foot dragging from Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael is over. They need to honour their commitment, support international law and pass the bill in full.

Housing can be fixed, but only with a radical change of policy
We need ambition, urgency & affordable housing at scale
We need to end long term homelessness not normalise it
We need to end the scandal of vacancy & of rip off rents
Unfortunately this is not the Govt’s plan🤬👇

I have obtained a copy of the Flood Advisory issued by Met Éireann to local authorities today showing an orange level flood risk for many parts of East and South. I cannot see why it is not made public as I believe it is in the public interest to share it so I am sharing it.

The Forgotten Child
She waits where hope and heartbreak meet,
In sterile halls, on tired feet.
The clock keeps turning, the years drift by,
While promises fade — and no one asks why.
Her laughter once filled every room,
Now whispers hide behind her gloom.
A child in pain, a mother’s cry,
Fifteen years — and still they lie.
They talk in circles, write reports,
Hold meetings, drafts, and false retorts.
But through the noise, her truth is wild —
She is not gone. She’s the Forgotten Child.
Forgotten by those sworn to care,
Left in limbo, waiting there.
But we’ll keep shouting, loud, defiled —
Till justice finds The Forgotten Child.

Will Katie Be Forgotten Again?
With talk of @MichealMartinTD facing growing pressure and possible resignation, we can’t help but worry — what happens to Katie now?
It took years of fighting, and even confronting Micheál Martin directly, before the HSE finally began to move and put together what they call a “plan” for Katie. But let’s be honest — it wasn’t the HSE that acted out of compassion. It was because Micheál Martin forced their hand.
So if he steps down… will the HSE quietly step back again?
Will Katie be left waiting — again — while they decide what’s convenient for them?
Katie doesn’t need more political games. She needs action, accountability, and answers. Whoever comes next must not allow her to be forgotten — not after 15 years of pain, waiting, and promises.
Because leadership changes shouldn’t mean Katie’s care does too.
💚 Help us make sure Katie isn’t forgotten.

Survivors of abuse at Ireland’s industrial & reformatory schools are in week 4 of a hunger strike outside the Dáil.
They have 2 primary demands; a HAA card & a contributory pension.
The Irish government and the EU must deliver long overdue justice and equality for survivors.

Another day raising rip-off electricity bills. Another day with no real answers from the Taoiseach. Ordinary households left high & dry while big energy companies laugh all the way to the bank.

In her time in the Dáil Heather Humphreys failed to speak up for people. She was so silent she didn’t even utter the words Housing Crisis in her entire time in government. What she did do was vote against motions to stop vulture funds buying mortgages without consent, against motions to help tracker mortgage customers being ripped off and against motions to protect renters from no fault eviction. That is her record
Asked by @thejournal_ie if she declared her status as a credit union manager and defaults on mortgage cases when speaking in the Dail about repossessions or the tracker mortgage scandal, HH said: ‘I never stood up in the Dail and spoke about any of those things, I can assure you’

🔥 Do your job, Tánaiste!
1 million households are hit with big electricity bill hikes and the government does nothing.
Fine Gael-Fianna Fáil have always been for the developers and big landlords. Now, they are a government for price gouging energy companies.
We will never stop fighting back against this rip-off!

This do nothing government are doing all they can to block accountability in the Dáil next week ahead of the vote for President.
They have cut our Dáil time in half with no votes that could embarrass them on Wednesday. A blatant attempt to silence the opposition, fooling no one.

Heather Humphreys said ‘Sacrifices had to be made’ when asked about cruel cuts FG introduced in austerity.
CUT
👉 respite grant
👉 disability services
👉 child benefit
Out of touch. Same in the budget. Workers worse off as developers profit. People will remember next week.
People will judge Heather Humphreys on her record in next week’s Presidential election – @loreillysf
“Those at the top have been prioritised ever since Fine Gael entered government in 2011 when they introduced some of the cruellest cuts ever seen.”
