Still reckoning with the inherent contradiction of promoting positive masculinity on a platform owned by someone who does the opposite. 😕 xitter.cf/elonmusk/status/167809…
For now I’ll be radio silent on @X and reconnecting with @MensLibReddit, a longtime justice-oriented community. 🙏🏻

What a perfect companion piece for our first episode back! @boypodcast wrote about how educators can tackle Andrew Tate in schools. Jonathon will also be one of our illustrious guests this Thursday! Get into it. nextgenmen.ca/blog/how-to-ta…
Andrew Tate is not nearly as dominant as he was last year, but the space he carved in the media landscape is something we’ll be grappling with for a long time.
Alongside, of course, boys and young men.

Somehow, Remoy had never heard of Andrew Tate! @samanthal_n and @modernmanpod were pretty jealous... Shout-out to German for breaking it down for him, sometimes it'd be nice to forget...

"I stayed silent about it for almost a decade. Now I’m in the midst of a path towards expanding the definitions of masculinity": Jonathon Reed from @NextGenMen @boypodcast shares some of his personal journey in our latest #MeetAMember bit.ly/3KtcfSE
Nice one @mrhealthteacher @iproposethis 👌🏻 “By listening with less interruptions, you’re also showing him that you’re there for him, for his thoughts and feelings, and not just your own. This is key for building trust.” joannaschroeder.substack.com…
📣 @NextGenMen just dropped the first in a new line of apparel.
“Boys who experience the strength of active compassion will become men who listen to the needs of others and value their wellbeing. Compassion is a choice. Justice is its outcome.”
Why does this matter? 🧵
@NextGenMen is about expanding the definition of manhood.
We use our affirmations deck ➡️ nextgenmen.ca/boys-will-be so often we started joking about having the cards up our sleeves. Then we started joking about wearing the cards on our sleeves.
💡 Then we got to work.
Compassion is what powers positive change. It’s the fuel for our relationships with young people, and it’s the catalyst for being courageous enough to make a difference in the world.
We think that’s worth a t-shirt. 🔥 shop.nextgenmen.ca/products/… #boyswillbe

Some thoughts on how and why charges against Tate might further embolden his followers, among other things, from @stephwescott_ and me in an interview with The Bursar.

We launched our #StateofAmericasFathers report today with the @DadsCaucus & @RepJimmyGomez.
Men in the US want to care and are doing more care work than ever. We believe that supporting men to be caregivers is necessary for all of us. Read the report: equimundo.org/resources/stat…
The @DadsCaucus is turning Father’s Day into a week of action. Thank you @RepJimmyGomez and the other members for committing to #PaidLeaveForAll as a central pillar of the caucus agenda (and the #MamasCaucus too).
