I didn’t know all this. Something is definitely off.
PPV fight supposed to be in a month but:
1. US State Department has official advisory in place telling people not to travel to Saudi Arabia due to the Iran war and drone attacks
2. Turki, Sela, Ring mag have never actually announced the new date following the postponement from September even though DAZN lists it
3. Venue has not been announced
4. Tickets are not on sale
5. Undercard has not been announced
Netflix is 3 for 4 in Boxing Main Events averaging over 30 million viewers that included a 59 year old Mike Tyson and Joshua vs Paul. So yes, they want Manny Pacquiao. Let’s face it, they aren’t behind the scenes saying we want Boxing to be better.
I have a hard time believing any version of Anthony Joshua beats Tyson Fury, but definitely not this version. It seems like his punch resistance is worse and he’s always had issues with stamina going late into rounds. I think Fury easily gets the W.
Don’t blame the fighter for giving up belts, and treating belts like nothing when they can make 4-5 times more money fighting someone else, in a much bigger event. That’s a system problem.

I’ve always believed the phrase “Face of Boxing” is thrown around way too easily. I don’t know if anyone is right now. But with a strong social media following, personality, aura, and just plain exciting to watch in the ring, Ryan Garcia is the closest right now.
Cortes really showing a lot in there. Magsayo is lost. He needs a knockdown or big shot to change this fight.
Great pace tonight, fun fights, and a 4 fight main card starting at 8pm EST. Every once in a while they do it right.

Oswaldo Molina vs Pablo Rubio up now. Not much downtime between fights. #GarciaBenn @FightsATW
Genuinely don’t know who wins between Garcia and Benn. Both fighters have vulnerabilities. 50/50 chance it goes the distance and 50/50 chance either one wins. That’s why this matchup is so good.

Itauma was down to 2 fights/year at 10-0 and 20 yrs old. In contrast Tyson was 27-0 when he fought Berbick. Moses needs to fight 3 or more times per yr for the next 4 years. This is the hardest era in history to be great in because of matchmaking, inactivity & Social Media.
I still believe Moses Itauma becomes a wrecking force in that division, especially at 21. But no one is invincible. He has a weakness that he has to work on and that’s stamina, and pacing.

Filip Hrgovic with a straight Homer Simpson strategy. Allowed Itauma to punch himself out with his head as his defense, then pushed him over.
Anyone else believe the 2 minute rounds in Women’s Boxing make the fights better? Maybe more urgency. Instead of switching them to 3, they should think of switching the Men’s to 2, and maybe do 15 rounds.
Yes! A.I scoring system by round? Almost every other sport has a scoring system where throughout the sport you can see who is winning. It makes the losing team fight harder, comebacks are more dramatic. Maybe score punches landed? Power shots worth more than jabs?
Should scoring in boxing be changed? 🤔

has anyone seen the #boxing schedule for September? It's downright mediocre (to be kind)....
