What are the rules we need to construct for the real life game we will be playing against (or with) A.G.I that seems to be around the corner? @colleenmacklin #chq2023

We can use two trains to visualize how bias distorts our thinking. When you're free of bias, it's like being an unmoving train.
In this state, you have a clear view of others. Someone else's bias jumps out at you—you can see their train "moving."

Geographers - this is a fantastic graphic 🌍
The majority of humanity lives within a relatively small bandwidth of latitude. This #map is one of my all time favourites. It was created by radicalcartography.net in 2008. A true classic! buff.ly/436j6Zd

If any middle or high school educators, administrators, librarians, coaches, etc are interested, I'll be looking for student playtesters for Doomscroll, our next card game. Doomscroll helps players understand HOW social media keeps us on our screen to sell ads. DM or reply below!
This is very cool! How old are your students? Can you share example of templates you use to organize this?

You guys. This podcast is 🔥. The trifecta of @jratliffedu @HollyClarkEdu & @jmattmiller breaking down how technology addiction is rooted in the need for connection and authenticity. 🤯 This is an important listen for educators AND literally everyone else. So, so powerful.

VERY impressive auditory illusion (if you can call multistable stimuli illusions). I love how you can effectively choose what to hear by looking at the relevant lyrics! (Via Reddit)

I'm not sure people realize how big of a deal this is. High-altitude balloons might not be as sexy as autonomous weapons or hypersonics but I think they have the potential to be just as revolutionary for warfare, if not more so. 🧵 1/10

What will you do with all the time ChatGPT is saving you?
Why not start that side hustle you’ve been thinking about?
Not sure where to start?
Why not ask ChatGPT for some coaching?
You won’t regret it. Here’s a quick example 👇

So buckle up Buttercups, March Mammal Madness is back once again, as it has been annually since 2013.
Where the science is fierce and the motto remains "If you're learning, you're winning!" #2023MMM

ALT a new Logo that says "2012-2023 a Decade of Winning March Mammal Madness" with animal silhouettes featured against the text including images of beloved, bemusing, and enraging past combatants and non-player characters including a swooping raptor, Worst Bear, bobcat, stoat, figs, skunk, dandelion, tardigrade, and a pitcher plant.
In MS the mental space available for focused academic work is reduced by cell phone use. students who struggle w/focus often turn to them when work gets challenging. MS student brains are tuned to peers, phones are a super stimulus and drown all other signals. #banphones
