It’s incredible how far you can push the UI with Fable 5.1.
This is an interactive children's book that reads the story aloud, uses layered 3D illustrations, and animates every word.
Fable created the concept and story from scratch based on a prompt. You can reuse the result as a template for more children's books, then have Fable voice, animate, and illustrate each one.
After serving and working with over 50 schools in the past five years I couldn’t agree more. Everything starts at the top, their follow through, buy-in, support, and the emphasis they put into the desire to see their teachers grow determines success.
The single biggest factor in whether coaching works on a campus isn't the coach. It's the principal.
This post breaks down exactly what that support looks like, and why it's easier than you'd think.

Fridays are the absolute worst day to schedule professional development for teachers, and yet nearly every school does it!
At @techmyschool , we deliver hundreds of PD sessions every year, and by and large, Fridays are the worst experience for everyone involved. Yet they remain the most requested.
Regardless of presenter or topic, a Friday afternoon PD is met with skepticism before it even begins.
For teachers, Friday represents one thing: the finish line.
Schedule a PD Friday afternoon and that training is literally the last thing standing between teachers and decompressing after a long week. The presenter becomes the final obligation before going home and reclaiming the weekend.
Words become white noise. Slides are met with thousand-yard stares. Whatever was discussed disappears into the blissful weekend, rarely to be remembered Monday morning.
That's a problem because professional development is a significant investment.
Leadership has to establish a learning objective, coordinate schedules, bring in trainers, modify the school day, and communicate with families. Some schools spend tens of thousands of dollars every year on speakers, consultants, & professional learning.
The intention is right. Teachers need opportunities to sharpen their instructional practice, learn new tools, and expand their expertise.
But schools undermine that investment by scheduling training when teachers are most exhausted, mentally spent, and disengaged.
Friday afternoon.
It also creates the largest gap between learning something & having an opportunity to apply it.
So why Friday?
The answer we hear most often is simple: scheduling.
When calendars are built over the summer, Friday half-days look clean. There's also an assumption that a half-day at the end of the week is somehow more convenient for parents than interrupting the middle of it.
But is it really?
A parent working full-time still has to leave work at noon, rearrange meetings, use PTO, or find someone to pick up their child. Leaving midday Friday isn't dramatically easier than leaving midday Wednesday.
Professional development is disruptive. It requires time, coordination, effort, & money. If you're going to disrupt the school schedule and parents' workdays anyway, maximize the return.
Choose a day when teachers are positioned to engage, retain, and apply what they're learning.
Make the juice worth the squeeze.
So what's the best day?
In our experience: Tuesday.
Monday is when teachers are getting classrooms and students back into rhythm after the weekend.
By Tuesday, they're locked in, with three teaching days ahead of them to apply what they learned.
Wednesday is also excellent.
Thursday gets tougher because the weekend is approaching.
And Friday? We've covered Friday.
What's the best? Here's my ranking:
1. Tuesday
2. Wednesday
3. Monday
4. Thursday
5. Friday
Schools invest too much money, & teachers too much time, for scheduling convenience to dictate professional learning.

Stop over-thinking, start over-doing! Collect as many "No's" as possible. Fail, learn, ideate, create, repeat.

Researchers sent the same resume to an AI hiring tool twice. Same qualifications. Same experience. Same skills. One version was written by a real human. The other was rewritten by ChatGPT.
The AI picked the ChatGPT version 97.6% of the time.
A team from the University of Maryland, the National University of Singapore, and Ohio State just published the receipt. They took 2,245 real human-written resumes pulled from a professional resume site from before ChatGPT existed, so the human writing was actually human. Then they had seven of the most-used AI models in the world rewrite each one. GPT-4o. GPT-4o-mini. GPT-4-turbo. LLaMA 3.3-70B. Qwen 2.5-72B. DeepSeek-V3. Mistral-7B.
Then they asked each AI to pick the better resume. Every model picked itself.
GPT-4o hit 97.6%. LLaMA-3.3-70B hit 96.3%. Qwen-2.5-72B hit 95.9%. DeepSeek-V3 hit 95.5%. The real human almost never won.
Then the researchers tried the obvious objection. Maybe the AI is just better at writing. So they had real humans grade the resumes for actual quality and ran the experiment again, controlling for it. The result was worse. Each AI kept picking itself even when human judges rated the human-written version as clearer, more coherent, and more effective.
It gets worse. The AIs do not just prefer AI over humans. They prefer themselves over other AIs. DeepSeek-V3 picked its own resumes 69% more often than LLaMA's. GPT-4o picked its own 45% more often than LLaMA's. Each model can recognize and reward its own dialect.
Then the researchers ran the simulation that ends careers. Same job. 24 occupations. Same qualifications. The only variable was whether the candidate used the same AI as the screening tool. Candidates using that AI were 23% to 60% more likely to be shortlisted. Worst gap was in sales, accounting, and finance.
99% of large companies now run AI on incoming resumes. Most of them use GPT-4o. The paper just proved GPT-4o picks GPT-4o 97.6% of the time.
If you wrote your own cover letter this week, you did not lose to a better candidate. You lost to a worse candidate who paid OpenAI 20 dollars.
Your qualifications do not matter if the AI prefers its own handwriting over yours.
