Earlier, @Hon_Ssebugwawo launched the E-Waste Sensitization, Cleaning, Collection, Reuse and Responsible Disposal Campaign, which will be held every last Friday of the month in line with the National Cleaning Day. The campaign aims to promote responsible e-waste management and digital action for a cleaner environment. “Today’s exercise focuses on an area directly connected to our work: the responsible management of electronic waste,” said PS Dr. @azawedde. “Old phones, computers, printers, chargers, cables, batteries, routers and other electronic equipment cannot simply be treated as ordinary waste. Some electronic components can harm people and the environment if handled poorly, openly burned or dumped. “We therefore need to change how we think about electronic waste,” said Hon. Ssebugwawo as she launched the campaign. #eWasteManagementUG
