🕊️Today is World Hope Day. Hope has sustained our community for more than a quarter of a century. But hope alone cannot replace a durable solution. More than 100 UNHCR-recognized Afghan mandate refugees remain in #Kyrgyzstan, where generations have grown up in prolonged legal uncertainty. Children have inherited exile. Families continue to live without a clear, publicly available process or timeline explaining what comes next. Hope should not mean waiting forever. We respectfully call on UNHCR, the international community and countries able to help not to let this long-standing humanitarian situation fade from international attention until a durable solution is found. @Refugees @UNHCR_Cent_Asia @UNRefugeeAgency @UNHCRgov @UNHumanRights @UNGeneva @UN_News_Centre @IOMchief @IOMKyrgyzstan @StatePRM @StateDept @State_SCA @USEmbassyKG @USUN @SecRubio @CanadaFP @CanadaDev @IRCC @UNHCRCanada @ausgov @dfat @MFATNZ @UKMissionGeneva @FCDOGovUK @eu_eeas @BelgiumUN @GermanyDiplo @SweMFA @NorwayMFA @MofaJapan_en @francediplo_EN @Irish_Aid @IRAP @antjegrawe @BarhamSalih @ShabanaMahmood #WorldHopeDay #HopeDay #Kyrgyzstan #CentralAsia #HumanRights #Afghanistan #Refugees #MandateRefugees #ResettleMandateRefugeesFromKyrgyzstan
