Not harvesting yet so here’s a strawberry update. July 18th to August 22nd Pretty good to see the growth over a short time Battled some root rot early in the season too much rain even for the berry ground. 12 weeks till we put them to bed

Recent price action on Canola sure has many of us taking notice. The hot and dry July has no doubt hurt the crop. It definitely brings anxiety. What's always helped me in these times is to dive into the data and spreadsheets to understand what do different scenarios look like? The 'What ifs". See below an assessment of the Canadian Canola S&D chart with possible yield scenarios for 26/27. We know that additional crush capacity comes online in 26/27. Assuming we have 4-5% of total acres that were flooded and won't produce. Assuming exports down to 8MMT. What do you think? Note: IMO a Stocks/Use ratio below 12% is bullish...
