Got a real city (Nice, generated with Bmap) into Roblox as actual voxel terrain, not a mesh import. A Studio plugin streams the heightmap + a 5m material mask into WriteVoxels: asphalt under the real streets, grass only in the real parks, native water for the sea. @bmapengine

Been working this week on the first game fully built with @bmapengine. It’s a life simulation starting in Nice, with the long-term goal of expanding into a full-world life simulator. Players will be able to either play as themselves or let their own AI agent play for them. A world where humans and agents coexist. One thing I’ve been building into Bmap is procedural API integration. Every generated business can be connected to a real API. Imagine buying a shop in-game, turning it into a perpetuals trading desk, and connecting it to your favorite perp protocol’s API. Instantly, you own a functioning trading business inside the game. You earn builder fees while other players use your shop, and you can promote it to attract more customers. That’s just one use case that came to mind as an on-chain builder. There are many more.

POIs in the Bmap Editor. -Your map detects its own casinos, pharmacies, police stations, and more with their real names. -One click to tag them, one keypress to walk inside. -Everything exports as game-ready metadata. Generated cities are becoming playable worlds.

POV: you generated Nice from a bounding box and now you're just… walking around in it. Play mode is coming to the Bmap editor one click and you're inside your map in third person. Real streets, real buildings, real slopes, straight from open data. This is the Promenade des Anglais. I didn't model a single thing. Next: NPCs, quests, POIs. City maps are becoming playable worlds.

3 days. That's all Bmap has been live. In that time, together we've rebuilt: 15,588 km² of real cities in 3D 278,213 km of roads (6.9× around the Earth) 9.1M buildings · 23.3M trees 549 users · 915 maps · 221 exports · 1,459 visitors. I did not expect this. Thank you, every single one of you. This is just the start. Draw a box → bmap.io

Bmap isn't just a city generator anymore, it's a full 3D city editor, in your browser. Generate any real city, then make it yours: · click any building: height, floors, roofs, windows, material · recolor the entire city in one click · raise the sea level and flood it live · time of day, snow line, seasons, roads, trees And the footprints stay 1:1 with the real city the whole time. Then export it all to GLB, straight into three.js, Blender, or a game engine. The vision: your personal library of real-world cities. Editable, game-ready, yours. Built in public · bmap.io

I've received quite a few DMs asking why exports are limited on Bmap, so here's the simple reason: Worlds this big aren't cheap to generate or run. Every map represents real compute. For Bmap launch, I decided to cover all the infrastructure costs myself while I optimize the generation pipeline and build a strong community around the product. That's why map generation is unlimited, but exports are limited to 3 every 10 days. I think that's still a pretty fair free tier. A paid tier is coming soon with unlimited exports, priority queue, early access to Bmap Editor, and many more features. It will also help support the continued development of the project. There will always be a free tier with unlimited generation and limited exports. Here are the numbers just 32 hours after launch. The demand is real, and I believe it's only going to grow from here. I'm putting a lot of work into the editor. Generate, Edit & Export a fully playable game world to Roblox, Three.js, or UE5.

Something that would've taken me days, done in 5 minutes: generate a map on bmap.io, drop it straight into a playable game. And we're just getting started.

I make games, and one of the hardest part is always the world. A map that feels real, coherent, alive. So I'm introducing Bmap. Draw a box anywhere on Earth, and it rebuilds that place as a clean 3D world: terrain, every street and building, the coast, the parks, the rivers. A real city, 1:1, in your browser, in seconds. But the map is just the first piece. Real cities are already the perfect game maps, the layout, the density, the logic of a place that actually works. Bmap's mission is to unlock them: take any real place and turn it into a living world you can shape and play in. The generator is live today. Where it goes next is the part I'm most excited about. 👀 It's free. Everyone who joined the waitlist is already in. New here? Sign in too and you're on the list, I'm opening the rest in waves. Building in public. Come watch real cities become worlds. → bmap.io

Guys i think it's finally ready! You pick any area on a map and get a faithful, 1:1 3D version of it, in 30 seconds or less. It's tested, it works, and I'm shipping it this week once I'm done tightening the optimization. Right now it generates flawlessly anywhere in France and across the EU (the OSM data is just so rich here), and I'm adding US support as I type this. Honestly still a little amazed it works this well🙏 What should I call it? L'atelier? Bbox? Drop your suggestions below 👇
