Same in the US — typically only5-10 of the same popular mass market varieties in shops (and 10 is in-season.) Farmstands, farm markets, & small local orchards are the best bet for old and interesting varieties. Ask local cider makers for tips too.

I want to buy some I-bonds, which requires a @TreasuryDirect account. TreasuryDirect wants me to verify my id/sig on a Form FS 5444 guaranteed by a financial institution. @Fidelity and @Chase refused, but luckily @WellsFargo , where I am not a customer, helped me out.
Cool thread about how my brother Tom became employee #8 at Sun. I wasn't part of the Silicon Valley "Lyon mafia" mentioned, but was a happy end-user of mostly Sun/SunOS/SPARC/Solaris for 20+ years starting in 1986! Good times.

Here’s something you may not know: There are apples specifically grown for cidermaking, not for raw eating. Craig and Sharon Campbell and Tieton Cider Works (@TietonCider) are proud to continue a legacy established in the 1920s...
