ThousandEyes tests confirm that users around the globe experienced issues accessing Slack for just under an hour starting at ~4:45 PDT. During the service outage, network paths connecting to Slack’s edge servers did not show any disruption.

While the outage was mostly localized in the southwest U.S. region, we did see impacts as far as China & Singapore. As a significant Internet transit provider, the #Cogent #outage had downstream impacts on comms w/ major ISP networks including Telia, AT&T, China Telecom & more.
