An island-wide power outage in #Cuba has impacted #Internet connectivity across the country. Starting around 17:45 UTC, @CloudflareRadar data shows traffic dropping by >50% compared to the prior week, and @IODA_live shows a 10% drop in successful active probing.
Data from @CloudflareRadar shows initial traffic starting a week ago, with notable growth visible earlier today, coinciding with this announcement. However, the nature of the graph also suggests that associated traffic volumes are fairly low/inconsistent.

The #earthquake in #Colombia had a nominal impact on #Internet connectivity, per @CloudflareRadar data. Traffic dropped 35% compared to the prior week. Traffic at an ASN level appeared to recover quickly. Some loss of announced IP space, suggesting infrastructure damage as well.

🚨 El régimen activa la creación de microsistemas tras el décimo colapso del SEN en dos años
Tras el nuevo colapso del Sistema Electroenergético Nacional (SEN), las autoridades del régimen anunciaron la creación de microsistemas eléctricos para intentar restablecer gradualmente el servicio en distintas zonas del país y priorizar hospitales, sistemas de bombeo de agua y otros centros considerados estratégicos.
La medida, concebida originalmente para situaciones excepcionales, se ha convertido en una escena recurrente para millones de cubanos cada vez que el sistema eléctrico nacional colapsa.
El apagón marca el tercer colapso total del SEN en julio, después de los registrados los días 6 y 10, y eleva a cinco los apagones nacionales ocurridos en 2026.
En aproximadamente dos años, Cuba acumula ya diez desconexiones generales del sistema, una cifra sin precedentes en la historia reciente de la Isla.
La caída del SEN se produjo además en una jornada en la que la propia Unión Eléctrica había previsto afectaciones de 1.450 MW durante el mediodía y de hasta 2.160 MW en el horario de mayor consumo, uno de los déficits más elevados registrados este año.
