AI, robotic and automation are pushing the reshaping of science research so fast, but on the other hand, science needs "long static time" on one topic to dig into the fundamentals, rather than just catching up the tech advancement. How can we balance them – at Schkeuditz, Deutschland

it is not good to have either over-reduced or over-oxidised substrate for biology, with the redox balance posing an intrinsic constraint. This paper presents a nice solution to partially solve the redox imbalance issue with over-reduced substrate

PET waste is tough to recycle, but Barriuso’s group upcycled it into biodegradable PHAs using a hybrid approach: fast glycolysis + engineered microbial consortium. By splitting tasks between microbes, they boost efficiency and valorize plastic waste. Read doi.org/10.1111/1751-7915.70…

The time has come to move SYNBIO microbes outside the lab/fermentor & recognize them as allies to repair the env damage we have inflicted on the planet. Achieving this at a truly global scale demands fresh views beyond the very limited Western mindset of control and containment

I am absolutely annoyed by this email especially the first deadline is still 1w away. If you cannot even wait for the first deadline, which anyway is getting shorter (2w-3w), I have to say sorry to your future requests. such "time-pressing" is destroying our peer review system
