WORKING PARENTS ARE BEING TREATED LIKE FOOLS!!
Imagine this.
You get up at 6am every morning while it’s still dark.
You go to work, you graft, you pay your taxes, and you try to give your kids a better life.
Then you find out that parents who don’t work and live on benefits will now get an extra £4,500 a year just because their child starts an apprenticeship.
And you?
You get nothing.
This isn’t just policy.
It feels personal.
Working families are the ones holding this country together. We pay for the schools, the hospitals, the benefits system itself. Yet time and time again we’re the ones left at the back of the queue.
Under the new scheme, families on Universal Credit will be compensated when their teenager starts an apprenticeship so they don’t lose money.
On paper it sounds helpful. In reality it’s another reminder that the system looks after those who take more than they give, while the people who keep everything going are expected to just shut up and pay.
It should always pay more to work than to stay on benefits.
That’s not right-wing. That’s not left-wing. That’s basic fairness.
When a government keeps rewarding the least deserving and ignoring the people who actually fund it, something is badly broken.
How much longer are ordinary working families expected to put up with this?

Someone should report @angelarayner to privilleges committee.
Rules are clear, if you break the code or are over 65 you aren’t entitled to severance pay.
As Sir Magnus reported, Rayner broke the code but is refusing to return the money. Scrounger.

Angela Rayner received £182,376 from second jobs, including corporate speaking engagements and a book advance.
In 2023, she opposed MPs having a second job.
The worst hypocrite by a mile.

Thirty minutes and £30,000 for the weekly flight to Number 10 in the North may sound like a bargain, but the real show was onboard, as Angela Rayner, Frank Gallagher, Andy Burnham, Lucy Powell and Liam Gallagher unleashed Manchesterism at 30,000 feet.

Great to see @LewisHamilton win today but an all British podium today was amazing:) what a great day :)
Every meeting I have is 'who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others'."
This just says it all about our current government. There will be a breaking point when enough is enough. Rishi Sunak was right on one thing. #Mandelson #tomuchtax #generalelection

Replying to @Keir_Starmer
Keir, stop insulting people’s intelligence.
You’ve broken every major promise you made on cheap energy, on tax, on household bills and now you’re pretending a token £150 change in April fixes anything.
The OBR has already exposed the truth:
• Your government is pulling off the biggest stealth tax raid in modern history
• Tax thresholds frozen for almost the entire 2020s.
• If they rose with inflation, the tax-free allowance would be £4,900 higher and the higher rate £20,100 higher.
• Instead you’re dragging 5.2 million more people into income tax and 4.8 million into higher rate.
• By 2030, 1 in 4 workers will pay higher or additional rate tax.
• Labour is taxing workers for three-fifths of all tax rises this decade.
• The effective tax rate on labour hits 42%.
• You even raided salary-sacrifice pensions — £4.7bn taken from people trying to retire with dignity.
• Savings taxed more because you froze all thresholds while interest rose.
• Meanwhile benefits rise with inflation — but workers’ allowances don’t.
This is not “help with the cost of living”.
This is making work not pay.
You can film as many polished videos as you like but working families know the truth every time their payslip comes in, every time their mortgage renews, every time they open their energy bill.
Labour aren’t easing the cost of living.
Labour are the cost of living.

Rachel Reeves, 2021: “…that there is one rule for those at the top and another for everybody else that we need to root out of politics.”
Reeves has allegedly broken housing regulations by unlawfully renting out her family home without a licence.
Rules for thee but not for me.

My open letter to @RachelReevesMP (cc @Ofcom, @SciTechgovuk)
Now O2 has broken the taboo, the big risk is other firms will likely follow suit... the govt must step in to stop mobile, broadband and pay-TV firms increasing prices mid contract by MORE than they said they would when people sign up.

ALT A letter from Martin to the Chancellor urging the Chancellor to tighten the existing rules over unannounced mid-contract broadband, mobile and pay-TV price hikes. Martin's call for urgent action comes after O2 announced that up to 15.6 million people with mobile and Sim-only contracts will see bills rise by 40% more than they were initially told.
Well that was edge of your seat stuff #ENGLAND_WOMEN well done :)

Energy firms CANNOT bill you for energy used over 12mths ago. Yet many do. My evidence to Commons Energy Committee on this including how the rules should be changed.
Please share so people know their rights.
