Nancy was fired for less than this. Who could have seen a guy who hadn’t managed in a decade, the failed Hibs manager, the failed Huddersfield
Manager and the worst B team manager in recent memory not being very good at their jobs.
Make it no…… a terrible loss.

Nail head.
In the summer it was revealed that Celtic had finalised a long-term strategy "to be the best club in Scotland, to be financially sound and to compete in Europe".
Is this anything different to what it was before? Aren't there specific targets to reach in the #UEL that are different from the #UCL? Success becomes subjective if the generic message is just to "compete".
Unless the club are automatically in the Champions League they don't seem to invest for Europe.
When they were knocked out UCL play-offs to LASK Linz, spending basically stopped - just Joel van den Berg was bought. The rest of the squad was patched up by loans and one free transfer.
They haven't 'competed' in the Europa League/UEFA Cup for 22 years, when they last won a knockout tie. This is a tournament where Celtic do have the financial muscle to go far in, but they don't really push the boat out on signings if they're out of the UCL.
While success in the UCL can be measured by getting out of the League Phase, the target should be different for the Europa League - not the same.
Two seasons ago Celtic were in the knockouts of the UCL, last season it was the knockouts of the UEL and this season they are on course to not make it out of the UEL League Phase - this is constant regression.
Celtic need a long-term strategy that puts European football - and specific targets to monitor success in it - at the forefront of everything they do, before they become a total nonentity outside of Scotland.
When will we realize that in Europe Nygren is a luxury we cannot afford. And Cal Mac as a CDM at this level is an absolute liability. He offered nothing tonight and needs help at this level. Europe done before the end of Oct, how far we’ve been allowed to fall.
So great to see our man Gerry back in BBC’s #BlueLights an excellent but poignant episode of the series.
Generally supportive of the Collective. But there are times when I do think are the actions of the more militant elements of the group always going derail any progress made.

Change the manager and you’ll get a bounce but the club is fundamentally broken.
Nothing changes until there’s a root and branch shift at the football club.
No structure, no strategy and no accountability means that we will limp on until they can’t hide anymore.
Pathetic.

There’s really not much to say after that match that hasn’t already been said.
What we’ve saw the past week is a glimpse into a possible future. A future where Celtic continue to operate without vision, strategy and ambition.
Yes, there should be changes in the dugout. But it doesn’t change what is really rotten at this football club. Without addressing the root cause of this issue, we will simply circle back to this position time and time again.
Watch the game back. Started brightly. But at 26 mins Cal was blowing immediately retreated back on top of the CH’s playing sideways and pointing and we barely got up the pitch again. The midfield is the rot at the heart of the team & the Capt is at the heart of the rot.
