Tokenization made value programmable. But who actually finds the best price and liquidity to move that value across markets? Ironically, HFTs. A lot of financial infrastructure is about to be re-evaluated. Axis > Ripple

Every strategy on this chart takes risk. Only one sees real returns for it. sUSDx: 20.5% net APY, far above the curve. Got sUSDx?

Tokenizing a hedge fund isn't sexy and has little value on its own. It's a vehicle. Axis is a low-latency/HFT infrastructure-based liquidity provisioning operator. I hope we can better distinguish apples from oranges! (and lots of work for me to get done)

Tokenisation is not for for providing tokenised versions of Google and Meta. It is to help companies and entrepreneurs raise capital in markets where tradfi does not serve them.
The popular version of the tokenisation story is investor access, which solves half the problem. The other half is companies that cannot reach capital markets at all. Bitfinex Securities is focused on connecting them to a global pool of investors. blog.bitfinex.com/bitfinex-s…

If there’s arbitrage spread between currencies, you earn by moving money If there’s no arbitrage spread, it’s an alternative to SWIFT anyway arbitrage exe. infra stack is not just a yield strategy in the world where ‘law of one price’ is gone in the tokenized, fragmented world

Just a reminder that over the last 30 days, @AxisFDN has generated 22.8% annualized real yield. Ofc, whenever you see a number that high, you should ask where it’s coming from and what risks you’re taking. DeFi has PTSD from big yield numbers, and rightfully so. But I think what Axis is doing is pretty incredible. We sat down with their co-founder and CEO for 40 minutes to dig into it. The episode leans more towards Axis Prime, but we also touch on how they’re bringing their strategies into DeFi. It’s also a chance to get a feel for @bidorder, the person behind it, his track record, and the team's overall expertise. For me, that’s a big part of getting comfortable with something like this. Ultimately everyone always needs to do their own diligence and decide whether the risk-reward makes sense. I think this is a good place to start. Full episode below. Disclosure: Axis is a sponsor of @edge_pod.

Before Axis, our HFT trading firm was the yield source for many defi yield protocols/earn products out there. Most of them took a huge spread and only passed on 6-8% (out of like 15-20%). There’s no middle man now 🫶

the yield has always been there. It was just never shared. (why would hfts/otc/mm do that?) we then ended up with wrappers and nonsense.

Here's an example of what we do at @AxisFDN: crypto x currency arbitrage • BTC/USD • BTC/JPY • USD/JPY It expands to all other asset classes. (DOGE, TSLA, NVDA, XAU) Millions of permutations across all markets, currently 7m+ combos at current TVL. Higher TVL, higher APY.
