Likud gets 30 seats in Channel 14’s poll tonight, 21 on Channel 12 and 18 on Channel 13. That’s a 12-seat gap in a 120-seat parliament.
With 61 seats needed for a majority, Likud and its four allied lists reach 62 on Channel 14. They have 51 on Channel 12 and 46 on Channel 13. These polls leave Netanyahu facing very different coalition negotiations.
Channel 13’s published figure of 50 includes four seats for Ofer Winter’s party. The graphic compares the same five lists across all three polls, so Winter is counted separately.
Channel 13’s survey was also taken before Benny Gantz announced he would not run.

SCOOP - Qatar would construct two power plants in Lebanon and sign a 20-year liquefied natural gas supply deal under a proposal to revive the ailing Lebanese power sector, a document seen by Reuters showed.
The plan - which still requires approval - includes:
- New combined-cycle plants at Deir Ammar & Zahrani, 825 MW each
- QatarEnergy 20-year LNG supply agreement
- FSRU
- 800 MW solar, 440 MW wind
Lebanon has had many power plans that went nowhere due to political bickering and vested interests of politicians. Will this one be different?

After several days during which private-sector merchants suspended truck coordination activities in protest against Hamas's taxation mechanism and threats, the merchants informed COGAT that Hamas had reportedly withdrawn its demands for payments of approximately NIS 10,000 per truck and for goods to be sold in cash. Following this development, the merchants submitted requests to resume coordination of the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip.
The merchants' reports do not, in themselves, constitute verification that Hamas has ceased imposing taxes. Coordination will resume gradually, with an emphasis on the entry of essential supplies ahead of the winter season, while strengthening oversight of merchants' compliance with their obligation to make and receive payments exclusively through bank transfers, including the documentation of transactions. These measures are intended to ensure that Hamas does not exploit the mechanism for its economic and military buildup.
Any merchant found to have made payments to Hamas will have their authorization to operate under the mechanism for bringing goods into the Gaza Strip revoked.
The resumption of coordination is being carried out in accordance with Israel's commitment to the humanitarian provisions of the ceasefire agreement.

BREAKING: 🇪🇬🇸🇦 Egypt’s parliament will hold an emergency session tomorrow following President Sisi’s call to consider authorizing military action to defend Saudi Arabia if requested.
🇪🇬🇸🇦 Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi called on parliament Saturday to convene an emergency session to authorize military intervention in defense of Saudi Arabia if the kingdom requests it.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony for military academy and college cadets, Sisi said: “I call on parliament to hold an emergency session to authorize us to intervene in Saudi Arabia’s defense if asked to do so.”
“Such action requires parliamentary approval, and I hope parliament will convene an emergency session to grant that authorization,” he added. “We are not seeking to attack or wage war. Our aim is solely to defend.”
Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to defending the Gulf states, saying: “We stand firmly behind our Gulf brothers and fully support protecting and defending their territory. Egypt will take whatever action is necessary to protect and defend Saudi Arabia.”

State of frontlines in Yemen | Saturday, Oct 17
• Taiz, a city of about a million people, is blockaded. Every road out is closed, and the Houthis are now demanding its surrender.
• On Friday the Houthis told the city's defenders to lay down their weapons or face house-to-house fighting. Local authorities refused.
• While demanding surrender, the Houthis are moving armor toward the city: a tank, an armored vehicle and about 18 truckloads of fighters, an eyewitness told journalist @FaresALhemyari on Friday night.
• Inside the city, 12 hospitals had about four days of fuel left as of Friday. WFP says 600,000 people in Taiz are now beyond reach of food aid. Water is about $4 a liter, and fuel has tripled and is not available.
• The war is widening. Houthi missiles hit the presidential palace in Aden on Thursday, killing five, and landed near Aden airport's runway on Friday, after a week of strikes on Saudi airports and Aramco.
The Houthis built the ring around Taiz. Now hunger is the weapon. Demands to surrender are difficult as Taiz is the epicenter of resistance to the Houthis.
